***Spring Saturday Roll Call***

Good morning all!!

The 'spring' weather is back for a few days...although at this very exact moment it is damn cold out there.  I think the high is supposed to be about 64 today...with very little clouds or rain.  I have heard from EMS people in the area that right now the temps are hanging around just above freezing outside...WTF man?!

Anyway - despite my flurry of activitiy on the board I am NOT in triage tonight...I"m in trauma.  AKA "department *****" because when I"m not doing trauama's (have only done 1 tonight) I'm wandering around covering people for breaks...asking if they need help....basically looking like a homeless nurse.  But....I may have gotten a minute or two to sit down and check out the boards....

Today I'm going home and going to bed.  Please keep good thoughts.  My car's exhaust cannot be fixed until Monday.  Brian says it *should* be ok for back and forth to work till then.  And he had to go to his parents yesterday...so I had to drive my car to work.  It was fine...but I was VERY worried about it and am concerned about it this morning.  Good news is that he is now home so if G-D forbid I have any trouble on the way home, he can come help me.

I think my car, speaking of which, is taking a day trip today....Brian is bringing it to my other husband's house (Chris' house, LOL) so they can look at it like men and decide yep, it's broken.  Brian already made an appointment for the shop...but you know...they have to see if they can do anything to save me $, which is great.......but I'm not gonna say I'm not apprehensive about it all.  Brian doesn't *think* they will be able to fix it.....and the thought of it scares the crap outta me because right now all I've gotten from his is "I think it's part number x y and z"  and "I think the leak might be from here" and "If we replace this it might help that"  ooooohhhh....to many "thinks, mights, & this and that's" for MY liking, LOL

Enjoy all!

 Good morning Pam,

Yes it is cold out there today.  Hopefully, this is the end of the cold weather for a bit.

I hope everything works out for  your car.

I managed to muddle through a very busy week.  I was exhausted when I got home and went to bed really early last night.  I haven't been to the gym since Tuesday due to work, but planning on getting to the gym at 8 this morning and getting in a 2 hour workout.

I am going to do some shopping today, I just bought new clothes a couple of weeks ago, and yes they are getting a little big already.  Unreal.  I started in a waist 46 and now am going to see if I can get in a size 34 pair of jeans.  The 36 jeans are beginning to hang.  What a triumph.  I am continuing to whittle away at the remaining weight I want to lose.  17 lbs to go.

Other than that, I have some work to do over the weekend and straightening up to do.

Stay warm everyone and enjoy the day.
Geoff

Good morning Pam and Geoff..

I guess everyone is sleeping in this morning!  I've been at work since 6 and am working till 6pm.  Hoping for a relaxing day here because I go in to my other part-time job midnight to 6am tonight and it no doubt will be busy.

I'm on my last day of the pouch test and have been doing pretty well with it.  I felt myself getting a little off track last night when we went out to dinner but I put my head on straight and made some acceptable choices.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yay for putting your head back on straight!  Great job!

If you do come see me tonight....I'll be out in triage all by my lonesome....so no patients for me hee hee

glad your head is still on straight.

Good Morning Pam and Geoff,
Everyone's still in bed under the covers trying to stay warm I guess.  Final day of Mommy and Daddy being away in Minn.  One more day of keeping a 7yr old, 5 yr old, and 9 month old busy.  Thank goodness it is sunny and dry so they can go outside today.  Run the vaccum and clean the litter box before they get home.  It's 8:15am and everyone but the baby and I are asleep, whats up with that.  Hope you all have a good day.  Pam hope they can do something with your car.

Thanks!!  I actually hope they DON'T do anything with my car...I'm much more comfortable with the shop taking care of this stuff...it may include welding....it makes me cringe!  I'm just worried that something will happen on the way to or from work, another piece falling off or something like that....but I do feel better about Brian being around the area so if I do run into a problem, he can come save me :)
