The Home Stretch Day 4

Let's try this again ..Wrote this out once and my system in work crashed the nerve.

Yesterday afternoon went pretty good and once home since I could eat a meal with Den rather then just drink something I had attempted to make a crust less quiche. I had used eggs, Swiss & American cheese along with some bacon on the side some salsa. Turned out pretty good felt good to have dinner with Den last night. I had the urge to snack on something later while watching TV so I had a yogurt before we settled down to sleep.

With the heat making me sweat and I hate to sweat when I sleep we opted to sleep down stairs with the air on. One thing I have noticed the last few days since I let out so much emotion in many arenas that I have been sleeping better the last few nights.

Today I got up felt a sligth feeling of light headiness but left for work and had packed my bag for the day with a left piece of quiche and small banana for breakfast, yogurt for a snack then shrimp and protein shake for the day. Still have a back up yogurt along with lots of powerade zero.

For dinner this evening I will was going to attempt the cheeseburger pie but will save that for another night and make Salisbury steak tonight for dinner for us. I will add veggies and a side for Den of course.

Tomorrow is the last day of the pouch test and things have gone pretty good so far this week. I have been away from the gym scene for far to long and thought about doing that this week as well but with everything else emotion wise and the pouch test I thougth do not overwhelm yourself and if you fail reach for food. So one step at a time and next week I will add the exercise back into my world. ...

Rome wasn't built in a day and neither was I so one step at a time is the way to success.....

Beth,
Congrats on getting to day 4. You are truly an inspiration. I could only do one week as I have experienced sugar drops which are dangerously low. My doctor told me it's because I work out so much mostly cardio. I will admit though it does work one day and it jump started my weight loss I am now down 6lbs in just 2 weeks!! No more grazing and I catch myself when I reach for something so it does reset the mind set. Good Luck today and tomorrow I know you can do it!!

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Ive been wanting to post all week about your 5DPT this week. I did mine last week. It really has made a huge difference in my eating also Im almost at zero caffeine now in my diet!!! Which was VERY hard!! Day 4 was the hardest for me because it was a very emotional and trying day( I sent my son on his first trip to see his dad in PA since our move here!) I was very skeptical about the 5dpt but amazingly glad i did it!! It helped me get back to the basics again!! IT was what i needed!!Good luck!! Your doing a great job!!

Hey Babe,
The quiche turned out great! Yummy and good.
You are doing great this week for yourself and for so many of us.
Looking forward to another dinner and evening with my baby.

Love you,

Den

Beth, thanks for posting throughout the week about the pouch test.  It has certainly helped me to keep on track!  Day 3 for me and it felt nice to chew lunch instead of sip lunch.  It has been an eye opening experience and I really am starting to see where I steer off course.

Great job and thanks!

Eric, you are doing a great job! Glad this is helping you because part of my problem was I forgot that I had these boards to use at support. So one day at time that is for sure!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
