OT: What's been happening in my life - long
Thanks Debbie, you can bet that I will be way more careful in the future!
My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Glad you got to see the grands and all! Whoo hoo!!! Sounds like a fun time! And congrats to your daughter and her RN license! Now she can be stressed and miserable some nights and fabulously in awe and admiration on others! It's an interesting career to say the least!
Also glad to hear that you were not hurt in the accident. Deer stink! Sounds like they "had it out for you" lol!
As far as the posion ivy goes - hope you continue to heal and feel better. It's not fun stuff!
Keep in Touch!

Hey Pam,
Thanks for the hello, yeah, my daughter has been told that she will probably go home frustrated and crying alot the first 6 months or longer, as some of her friends who have been working in the trenches already have experienced it, and my good friend Diane is also a nurse, told her the same thing. She got a night position on the oncology ward, she is not thrilled with working nights, said when she was doing her rotation, the day shift nurses seem to feel that the night staff gets off easy, but whatever, it's a job and like she said, after she is there a while she can transfer to a day or different department if she wants to and besides they will pay for her BSN, so that is a good perk to have. I am oooh so proud of her and admire greatly those who teach and nurses who care for people. . . to me if anyone is to be considered modern day heroes, it's the professions like that. . .
The itching continues, the drying process is happening, I hope by next weekend when Tony and I drive down to Balitmore (Inner Harbor) that I won't look like I do right now, a scaly freak. . .
Anyway, have a great day and I will try to stay aboard, it's hard at times, life pulls me in so many directions and for that I am ever grateful. ..
Take care, Laureen

Yes..the first 6 mos are BRUTAL...
And as far as "nights vs days" go...days always believes nights gets off easy....nights always believes day shift are lazy....and it goes round and round.
If she hasn't already - tell her to invest in room darkening curtains - she will need them!!

Hi Laureen! I am catching up here after several days away so just read about your accident. We have had 2 deer accidents (both on 283 outside Harrisburg, which I now call the "deer highway"). First one totalled the car. 2nd one was not totalled but a LOT of damage. I am so glad you were not hurt.
Our insurance man says that a deer accident is considered an "act of God" type of thing. I know it feels bad but they are SO dangerous.
At thanksgiving we were in Vermont driving home on a rainy night and narrowly missed a MOOSE!
