Hey all,

Long time no see! Just wanted to stop in and say hi and give ya'll an update. Alastrina is doing fantastic! She is up to 11lbs 2 ozs! She is growing like a little weed! I am so proud!

As for me, I am going in for my hysterectomy on Friday. Since they were doing it abdominally we talked to a plastic surgeon and he is coming in to do my tummy tuck at the same time. Kill two birds with one stone! They are going to leave my ovaries when they do the hysterectomy. Unless pathology comes back to show that the cells progressed outside the cervix and uterus. Then they would go back in and take the ovaries out. I would rather have a second surgery than to unnecessarily be on HRT.

Weight wise I am down to 145 as of Thursday. Doc said we are probably looking at about 6-7 pounds of skin. OMG.... I will be at a weight I don't think I saw longer than a day as a preteen!

So that's my story folks! If you think about it Friday please say a quick prayer for me!

Glad to hear the update! Just out of curiosity - is the TT being paid for out of pocket or are you getting it covered somehow?

Soooooo happy for you!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Tricare is covering it. They will cover an abdominoplasty in conjunction with another pelvic or abdominal surgery as long as it improves the quality of life for the patient. Or something along those lines! LOL

What a beautiful little girl ! Good luck with your surgery. I am sure everything will be just fine. Praying that the pathology is normal and there are no more surgeries in your future.
