Conversation with my sister

My sister had her WLS in November of 2007 and I had mine in May 2009.  I took my daughter out to visit a few days this week so my sister and I had a few girls days!  We went into a store called Gabe's, cheap clothes!  I had found some capri's there the day before when my DD and I went so I wanted to go back to look in peace (ROFL).  My sister wanted some of the capri's I bought and I wanted another pair ($6.99 for Lee capris)  So...I was looking through one rack and her another.  I found a pair of size 6 and I said to her "Here is a size 6, I think you need these because mine are an 8"  She took them and we both went back to looking and then it struck me what I had just said.  I said to her...Lorri, do you realize what I just said??  You need a SIX because mine are an EIGHT!!  An older woman was standing there and chuckled.  Lorri said...well, we finally got that pesky one from in front of our numbers!  Just this week, with my clothing size really being an 8 and not a 10 or 12 (Well, some but you know how sizes are!) and pictures we took together this week that came out SO GOOD!  I don't remember being happy with a photo in a very long time.  And I can't get used to getting flirted with!!  And paid attention to when I walk into places! 

It sounds like the time I first shopped in the normal size department of the women's clothing.  I was psyched.  The cashier thought I was nuts.

I understand completely. I STILL grab the wrong size sometimes, forgetting that I am smaller than I THINK I am.

that is awesome. I think it is doubtful that I will ever get rid of the pesky 1 in my sizes but I am sure am greatful to have gotten rid of the 3 and the 2. GOOD FOR YOU

I was clothes shopping Friday at the outlets and my friend said 'why do you keep picking up the big sizes - you need a smaller size now' - guess old habits die hard...
