Bag balm is in the feed store and in Walmart pet department. It`s a square green tin and even works for diaper rash. Udder cream or chap shield is for a cows udder and usually contains vit E, aloe, lanolin and other good stuff.

Pam, I can so relate !!!! I had ugly dry, cracked and calloused feet for yearsand I hid them from site. I was so embarassed to have anyone see them. I had a podiatrist tell me to use regular ( the clear kind) A&D ointment and wrap my feet in saran wrap and put socks over. Not the most comfortable way to sleep but it really worked! Also when I started getting pedicures I went to this asian lady who used the razor thingie and that worked great but I was too afraid to try that myself. I was afraid of cutting too close. Now I get regular pedicures, the place I go to now wont use the razor they say it makes it grow back too quick. But now after all that work my feet are sooo much better then they ever were! Also bag balm is wonderful stuff for any really dry skin.
Ok here goes. I had this problem for years. One of my guy friends and I were talking about it and he told me to use either athlete's feet cream or some kind of anti fungal cream. You know like a "jock itch" kind of cream. If you look at the active ingrediants on the labels of these creams they are usually two different kinds of medications that are used in all the different brand names. I thought he was nuts but figured what the heck I will try it. Guess what it worked. Just rub the cream into your heels or other problem areas. Starting clearing mine up in I think about two weeks. Made a huge difference. As a matter of fact I just looked at my feet and I have none of that yucky stuff on them at all right now and I haven't used any creams or lotions at all in weeks. Just putting it out there in case you want to try it.
I hope this post helps all of you. I started using Cetaphyl. Its a lot cheaper at BJ's than other stores, but I understand that Walgreens has a buy one get one occasionally. Anyway, after using it for a few days my PT commented on the change in skin texture on my feet and ankles. She said I should do a commercial for them. Only things is its not helping my hands. I can't seem to get the moisture back into my hands and I have a zillion creams I've tried. The only one that comes close to keeping up with my hands is Sally Hanson (in the orange tube at drug stores).
Wow....a whole looooong conversation about nasty feet! Awesome!
I will definatley invest in the bag balm - and I may try the athletes foot stuff especially on the one foot as now that the kerasal has started working I notice my foot, especially by my toes, is peeling and itchy so I'm thinking it very well may be a combination of fungal stuff and dry stuff.
Thanks all!
