Need a pep talk
I have gained 2 lbs in the past 11 days - I was thinking that at 3.5 months that I am still in the "honeymoon" period and should lose, not gain. I am not overeating, I am getting 10-15 grams of protein over goal, my fat intake is at ~ 25 grams / day (guideline from nut is 25 - 45) - I am working out 3-4 x per week (~ 1 hr - Zumba, Tae bo, machines) and am walking a mile at lunch whenever I can.
I know that my body has continued to shift because I fit in to a pair of pants that didn't fit 2 weeks ago
Is this normal? - I think I just need a few words of encouragement that this happens... I can't help but be a scale watcher, it's so uplifting (up to this point, anyway)..

Don't panic. If you still get your monthly, it could just be normal water weight that some women get during the premenstrual weeks. I would shift four to five pounds in some weeks. Just keep your frequency of exercise and keep eating what you are eating. You may be just having your metabolism shift as well. Make sure your water intake is good, and you may want to adjust your exercise routine, to mix things up a bit.
You should only weigh once a week, at the most. Also, if you must weigh daily, graph it and see what kind of pattern you have in a month. That really helped me learn about my body's weight loss.
Hang in there.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

More then likely it is jus****er weight. I don't know how often you are getting on that scale but if it is more then once a week - STOP! You're weight fluctuates. Also, could it be getting close to PMS time? I gain 7-10 pounds YES 7-10 pounds a month of water weight right before and at the start of my period.
Are you getting all of your fluids in? How many calories?
This is just a tease - your weight will go back down and you will continue to loose. It is also possible that you have gained some muscle mass which is heavier then fat. DO you take your measurements? If you haven't - start - it'll really help through times like this!

Gosh - I remember vividly the first time that happened to me. I panicked and thought - yep, see, i KNEW i would fail at this too! Guess what? I was wrong.
That 2 pounds could be anything or any combination of things. Pardon the indiscreet question, but how's your pooping been lately? Constipation can be a really quick way to "gain" a few pounds. How's your water intake? If you're dehydrated, that can lead to your body retaining every bit of liquid it can, which can lead to water retention. As others have mentioned, is it that time of the month?
If none of the above address it and it's still hanging aroudn in a week or so, that's the time to start asking yourself about the "other" nutrients - how are your carbs? your calories? (I know Barix tells us not to count carbs and calories early out, but in reality an imbalance there CAN have an effect.)
Above all, don't panic. You'll work it out and your body will keep on losing. This is a temporary stall that most of us went through - and there will be others at other points along the way, too - just as frustrating!
Hang in there.

I can't add anything that anyone else hasn't. But definately do NOT be a scale watcher if it's more than once a week. Ask Beth...her Mr. Scale took a flying leap (all be it helped by her) down her basement stairs during periods like this....) And to take the measurements once a month, no more.
Hang in there....keep up your proteins, fluids, and exercise and understand that this is a JOURNEY, a marathon if you will, not a sprint, and it will go up and down.
You're ok!
