Question for everybody
I am getting ready for my Surgery in nine days. I have now been placed on a 75% liquid diet...Protein shake for breakfast and lunch and lean meat and veggies for dinner. I went out and bought some SF popsicles tonight. One is Edy's (no sugar added) the The other is whole fruit (sugar free) The edy's one has 6 carbs and 1g from sugar and 2g from sugar alcohol and 25 calories. The whole fruit ones have 16 carbs but none from sugar but they have 50 calories. Which one is the better choice for me post surgery. I am just trying them out now
My gut feeling in answering this one is to wait till you are post-op and see which you tolerate better. Some people react to sugar alcohol, others don't. Also, see if you change in your taste area. Some people find they do not like certain foods they like pre-op. If you are only having one a day, for liquid intake purposes, and you are moving and getting your walking in, the actual calories are probably of little consequence in the beginning.
Hope this helps. Good luck with your surgery. Check in with us to let us know how you make out.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

Definately be prepared to change after surgery, at least for a time, due to taste buds revolting.
There are definately sugar gm in the whole fruit ones - from the fruit itself. Some people dump early out on natural sugar too, although it is more rare.
I think I just had the silly pop-sicle brand, no sugar added, like I was a five year old again, LOL

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. ![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/thumbsup2.gif)
