I KNOW that people will come to you no matter what. You are a fantastic woman and kick ass at what you do - once word gets out they are going to be lined up around the block waiting to see you. You just have to find your "niche" - any of the other hospitals willing to work with you??

Don't give up, Nicole!!!  I'm guessing at the reference.  I agree with Liz---there must be someone else you can work with in the area.  Are there other bariatric surgeons in that area?  How about putting your name out to primaries and clinics?  Don't give up---just head in another direction!

Nicole, I'm just guessing it's the cheery face at the bottom I feel like slapping . . . .  sorry about the disappointment.  You are an incredible woman with incredible talents that I got to witness during our Beck group on-line chats and other times on this boards and at Liz's.  I admire your insight and thoughtfulness.  This too will pass.  There must be something out there that is bigger and better that is meant just for YOU ---- go find it!!!!

Not that I am a very religious person but I always liked this line from a movie - It is from "Evan Almighty" Morgan Freeman plays God and Steve Caroll is Noah - well God is explaining to Noah's wife that  "if you pray for patience do you think that God gives you patience or the opportunity to be patient?"
I think that the universe is giving you a way (ok 10) to take your control back and show things who's boss!!

umm yeah... don't think I would want to go talk to someone openly about food issues and such when the look like they weigh 100 dripping wet... nope wouldn't happen...   I know if I need anyone talk to about these kinds of issues I would be heading to you... not that skinny chick...

HA! I wasnt sure at first, but my first thought when trying to figure this out was "all these people are super skinny and good looking"... i like the 100 lbs dripping wet!  your comment is totally true
