Good morning all - prayers going out to all of you dealing with stress, family issues and the like. I'll be thinking of you ladies throughout the day.

My day should be quiet - I'm at work and not much going on here.

Had a lovely weekend at the beach with our friends - no stress, no pressure - just nice and relaxing. Did a lot of walking so got lots of exercise in this weekend. We did see an amazing site - a huge fin whale washed up on the beach in Fenwick - sadly it was already dead when it washed up - but I have never seen a mammal that large and we talked to some volunteers from the marine mammal dept and they shared a lot of info with us. So not only was it relaxing but also educational.

Other than that not much going on for me right now - still adjusting to life without mom - it still seems strange - I still miss her terribly - but life goes on...

Hi Steffi and everyone!
Happy Monday...ugh...
well I have been off OH for quite a while- just spending too much time on FB I guess :)

This weekend was beautiful.  I went to the zoo with my 2 nieces, ages 9 and 2.  We had a blast.  I take my nieces/nephews to the zoo every year, but this was the first time since Eryn was born nearly 10 years ago that I was able to walk the whole thing without sitting down every five minutes.    I was so happy to see the difference in how I felt and how I could participate with the 107 lbs gone.    It is amazing to feel fit and comfortable!

Anyway nothing too exciting for me today. Went out to breakfast with my dad and brother.  Now  I am working til 6pm and later tonight I am headed to the gym.   I am doing the MS Walk in May, so need to make sure that I am ready by staying consistent with the workouts.

Have a great rainy Monday

You guys scare me . . .  you are alway so busy, I wonder what I must be doing wrong!!!  Guess just different times in our lives --- I used to do the baseball practice runs, dance lessons, school for me, PTO, etc too, but those times are long gone.

I was going to head out and do some shopping.  Made it to Aldi to pick up some imitation crab and decided it was just too nasty out to continue on.  I am making my version of the old Chi Chi's Cancun for dinner tonight --it was my favorite and i actually mourned it when they went out of business.  I make it like a tortilla lasagne using low carb stuff as much as possible and its pretty close in taste to the original but not so low cal (use a white sauce) for those who are early out or those still trying to lose.  Good for me in maintenance though.

Lisa reminded me I never got through the Anatomy of Food Addiction, so I may find that and do some reading.  I also want to clean out my closet . . . the hang up stuff I've kept up with but I have shelves in there too that are just a mess and have clothes of many sizes taking up space.

Have a good day all.

You really do need to make sure you are getting enough meals/proteins in.  Maybe eat smaller portions? And eat by the clock if you have to.  By no means eat when you are definately FULL but 3-6 small meals a day depending on your surgeon is critical.  By not eating throughout the day you are actually SLOWING your metabolism down, which will not help in weight loss.  Great job on going back on South Beach

Evening everyone.  Uneventful, but productive day for me today.  Took Erin's car for an oil change, bought a new pair of sneakers, grabbed some groceries and mason jars (going to try my hand at making pickles).  Came home, ate lunch, went and got our taxes done.  Feeling pretty good about that and what we are getting back.

Going to give the girls a bath, eat dinner, go to the firehouse and then home.  Back to work tomorrow...ugh.

Hope everyone had a great day!

Oh thanks Pam.  Will have to check those out.  One of the guys I work with on the ambulance got a seasoning mix at Echo Hill out in Fleetwood.  I want to go out there and check that place out anyway, so it might be on my short to do list.  Apparently they have lots of organic, natural, healthy type things out there.  I will report back and if they are successful, will bring some next month...

Good evening all. First day of teaching today! Alot of very eager learners. Hope we have as many that return tomorrow! LOL
One of my students has also had gastric bypass! He had his 9 months ago and has lost 90 pounds! He was excited to know that we had something in common. He has already invited me to go to his support group meeting. I am very excited about that. Hope to get it started up soon.
Time to crash for the night. I am exhausted and passed ready for bed. Have a great night all and take care. TTYL
At Goal! 165 pounds gone forever! Thank you Lord!
