I thought the show was great, and can't wait till Friday for the next installment.  I can see this issue from both sides, as my Mother was the manager of the high school cafeteria of the school I went to.  I guess I know to much about the government standards that are required.  The thing that got me the most was 2 breads at one meal!!!  But we will see how he wins them over on Friday.

I watched the show too and thought  it was very interesting.  I didn't care for the way that he was bashing the US--even if it is the truth.    I like how pizza counts as 2 breads......??   But when Jamie asked the mother of 4 to make a week's meal an dthey displayed it on the table--that's when it was a  little scary.

he did this same kind of thing in England... their food issues are just as bad but very different from us... i personally think that we are way more messed up than them lol...

I am so glad that we could go off campus in jr high and high school and eat at other places than the school's cafe... because even back then I couldn't eat all that fat in foods...

but my school district only had pizza on fridays... and if they had pizza it was always with tator tots lol... but i guess i was a strange kid because i would of been all over Jamie's chicken that first day... love chicken legs of all kinds lol...

but yeah why 2 breads... you would think the gov't would think the kids would get their carbs mostly at breakfast (since most kids seem to eat cereal for breakfast now a days)...

I didn't see the show - but it sounds interesting.

I'm not a fan of him in general....I don't know what it is about him that drives me nuts...his recipies always sound good and look good - and I agree - his garden is awesome - I just don't like watching him for some reason....
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
