Ok, so I am once again asking for prayers for a high school friend of mine.  But this time it's much much different.  My friend Cathy's husband has been dealing with kidney disease for a long time.  What luck that he would fall in love and marry the person who would be able to save his life.

Today, Cathy is donating one of her kidneys to her husband Dave.  They are ready to begin leading a normal life where everyone can be happy and healthy.   They have 2 beautiful boys, aged 7 and 4 who need their parents.

Please keep this couple in your prayers today and while they are recovering.  This is truly the biggest gift a person can give to another.

Prayers being uplifted.  My cousin just donated a kidney to her brother.  They both are doing well.  Good luck to your friends.

UPDATE from today:

One of the girls from school spoke to Cathy today and the surgery went well.  The kidney she gave to her husband is already functioning.  Cathy is in major pain, but is on some good IV drugs.

Things look like they are moving in the right direction!!

Glad to hear it! Keep those drugs coming! Recovery for the donor is MUCH more difficult than the recipient! Congrats and thoughts to them!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
