Passport photo

So many of you have seen my before pics in my profile and you can see what I look like now.  We are going to Aruba in April and I'm becoming concerned about my passport photo since it doesn't look exactly like me anymore.  I mean it is clearly me, but there is definitely a big change.  I've called the Passport people in Philly *****ferred me to Customs and no one has given me a straight answer.  Any thoughts?  My driver's license photo is current, so I'm hoping that picture along with my passport should not be an issue.  Anyone have any experience with this?  I'm open to comments or suggestions....

I've never been anywhere that requires a passport... but if you wanted to stuff me in your suitcase, I wouldn't complain.  I would LOVE to go to Aruba.. or any tropical island for that matter

sorry I couldn't help.

I traveled last year within th ecountry but used my passport for ID they would not take it at Philly International I needed back up ID which was my drivers license. That was not better at this point finally I said look I had gastric bypass and lost 140 pounds then whipped out my Barix card showing I had surgery. She said ok no problem but she said I should get a new picture.

Well now after her comment and talking to a few people (at the passport office and post office)they HIGHLY suggest so I do not have any issues reentering more so then leaving  getting a new passport. You can not just redo your picture you have renew your whole passport and regular cost. I am doing that so I have no issues when we travel to Mexico in July. Granted even the people I am traveling with have laughed over my old passport picture at this point so when they laugh it is time ;)

I hope this helps! Enjoy your trip!

Well poop!! My passport photo is the 'fluffy' me, too, and we're going to the Bahamas in May - I don't want to have to scramble now for a new one. Guess I'll just take my license along as well and my 'before' picture!! Maybe puff out my face when they check my passport?? LOL!!

My problem is that my license was taken a week after surgery so the picture on that is fluffy me as well...Since I have the time I will get a new picture because I will be the one that gets stuck with my luck. Plus my passport looks NOTHING at all like I do now. It is pretty bad!
Have a blast on your trip!

I used my passport once since surgery and while they kind of looked at me funny I told my story and showed my drivers license and they let me go without a problem. If you have time I would order a new passport just to be safe. I think you can expedite them for a fee.

Have fun in Aruba! Is this a family vacation or you sneaking away alone with your wife?

After being stared down and having to have several officers come to check me out, (in Paris)I decided to spring for another PP to avoid any more hassles.  It is costly but was worth it when I just had to use it again and sailed through smoothly.
