My Woo Hoo
I see Dr. Brader on Thursday. He wanted me to be in the range of 350-355 by the time I see him. I got on the scale this morning and low and behold.....I am 350.0 on the nose!! I am so happy to be doing so well.
I still struggle with the eating now and then, but it is getting better. I found a recipe for Zuchinni Lasagna and had a friend make it for me. It turned out so good. I realized that I have been putting myself in a box with my food and no allowing myself to try new things. I am determined this week to try a new recipe. I don't know what yet, but I will be on the prowl for it tonight.
On another note, I know I don't post much here, but I am lurking all the time. I wanted to give my props to all of you for being such an encouragement to one another and for acknowledging the needs and issues of others. You are a great group of folks here and I appreciate all the kind words that have come my way.
Have a great day and an awesome week.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/grouphuddle.gif)

Yay congrats on meeting your goal for this appt! Dr Brader will be thrilled I'm sure.
A new recipe a week is a great ambition. I see you had someone make the lasagna for you - do you not cook or just have a willing volunteer that does it better? lol What kind of new recipe are you looking for? Maybe we can help.

My daughter and I used to cook together, but she recently moved away and I haven't been inspired to cook since she is gone. My friend who made this for me loves to cook but has no one to cook for. So it kind of worked out nicely.
As far as what type of food I want to find a recipe for, I can't say. Maybe something with some seafood in it. I love seafood and have had a few shrimp and a crab cake or two since surgery. Do you have any ideas in that line?
Thanks.

humm - how about scallops? I get the big sea scallops and make 4 with a veggie for dinner. I pat them dry with a paper towel, season with a little old bay and pan fry with a little olive oil. That's dinner in less then 5 minutes!
I also love to get at Wegmans (or I guess any other grocery store) the individually wrapped frozen fish fillets. That way I can take 1 out and just toss it in the pan and sautee. I also like to steam it with a little lemon juice or white wine in a pan covered with aluminum foil. I LOVE fish but my hubby is picky about it so I usually make him something different (hot dog night! lol)

Congratulations on being right on track - that's wonderful!! It can be scary trying new recipes and easy to get into a food-rut - I'm bad about that and always have been, but now that I'm cooking more at home I am trying new things too. But definitely live by the old addage that if you're trying something new try it at home first. No fun dumping in public!! LOL!
That is WONDERFUL! It is always nice to meet goals that we have either set for ourselves or have someone else set for us. (I like the latter - I am nicer to others than to myself!) My hubby made Eggplant lasagna over the weekend - I am not a fan of eggplant so I may tell him to try the Zuchini! Thanks for that thought! Keep up the great work! :)
