Rainy Monday Roll call

Well, I think it's still morning at this rate.  It's been a busy couple of weeks for me.  The revision surgery for my total hip replacement is coming up this Friday and as I am with any procedure or surgery I'm in full prep mode.  The last week was spent prepping and freezing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners so Robb doesn't have to think about things when getting dinner together.

Now I'm in full house cleaning mode.  I'm just finishing up my kitchen now and working on laundry.  Then I will be going from room to room and doing a full top/down cleaning and dusting.  With as many people as i'm going to be having in and out of the house this place has to be spotless, well not spotless but as clean as I can get it.  Over the course of the next 5 weeks I will have physical therapists, nurses, and occupational therapists in and out of the house almost on a daily basis.  In all honesty I can't wait for it to be over with and it hasn't even started yet.

Ok... so my plan for the day is to clean and since i'm already half way into my day i'd better get back to work.

Well, finally checking in.  Overslept this morning, so missed the gym AND was late for work.  Grr.

Jojo - congratulations!  October 10th is my anniversary, so I can attest to how much fun a fall wedding is!  And your ring is just gorgeous!

Liz - get all the rest you possibly can from here on out... storing up on sleep now will help you remember what sleep felt like in those early days after baby R arrives. ;-)

I'm honestly sore all over - got all the spackling, sanding, and first coat of paint done yesterday, as well as a bunch more "unpacking" and organizing.  This kitchen is kicking my butt!  Tonight I'm hoping to get the second coat of paint done so I can move on to the flooring.  (No class tonight due to spring break.)  It's STARTING to come together - i can't wait until the last cabinet, the lighting, and the countertops arrive in a couple of weeks!!!

A lot of real "annoyances" around right now, which is all making me want to snack, so I've been fighting that impulse.  Sometimes unsuccessfully, but have tried really hard to limit it to relatively "good" snacks like a handful of almonds.  Continuing to fight the good fight, but there are days when I can feel my "addict brain" sneaking up on me with the negative messages.  Those are the days that are the hardest and when I really start to doubt myself - and the days when you guys keep me sane and on track.  So thank you all.

Hope you all have a safe and happy day!

I hear ya honey!  Keep on fighting but we all have days that are better and/or worse than other ones.

Can't wait to see pics of your new kitchen!  Soooo exciting!  Did you take "before" pics?

Yep - took before pics and during pics... just can't WAIT for the after pics, which will mean it's all done!

Looking forward to seeing you Saturday!
