Good Morning Pa,
Today finds me running a few errands before heading home from my daughters house.  My husband is still off his feet and using crutches when up, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better,it's been two weeks tomorrow.  He does not want to return to the Dr's, but we'll see what happens when I get home and have to put my foot down.
Jojo, I love fall weddings, and you will need the time to get it the way you want it, enjoy.  Liz take it easy, time is growing short, and taking care of you and baby is most important.  To the rest of you,  take care and stay dry and safe today.  Lisa the new avi is really nice.

Morning everyone...

Had a great day yesterday but today is not starting out well.  I am at work till 4 and then not too sure.  Supposed to go to the fire company but might be staying home with the girls because Erin's softball practice got changed.  Time will certainly tell.  The only bright side of today is that I have today and tomorrow and then I am not back here until next Tuesday.  It will be a great 6 days away from here!

Hope everyone stays dry today....

Hi Liz and all of PA - I am sitting in my classroom just thinking about how nice a snow day - or three - would have been had this weekend been cold enough....oh well - I guess the winter has to end at some point! :)

Today is teaching until 3:15, tutoring after school, trying to finish all the girl scout cookie paper work, then after dinner Molly and I have dance.  I have not been to the pool, so I am really trying to push this dancing thing so I can get my heart rate up at least three times per week.  I got on the scale this morning and I am up another .5 pounds.  It is a little scary.  I have been eating some things that I thought were ok, but, not swimming and getting onthe scale is telling me that I need to go back to basics.  The shakes are JUST not doing it for me - I find myself hungry about 1 hour after I finish a shake so I am trying to stay away unless I absolutely have to - like I will be running around and need to get my protein in.  Eggs are also not cutting it these days - again, about an hour or so after I eat I feel hungry again.  So for breakfast this morning I had low-sugar oatmeal.  It holds me over longer and it has protein and I add skim-milk so there is more protein.  I just think I am having too many carbs.  Kind of at a loss - but I know that I can figure it out.  Also, I need to put it here so that I can keep myself accountable for what it is that I am doing.  UGH!  I still need that surgery on the brain....where can we sign up for that?!?! :)

I hope you all have a nice Monday.  Remember this afternoon when it is still (Sort of) light at 5:00 why we do this!

Good morning all - another soggy day out there but hopefully the rain is moving out of here. I know I shouldn't be complaining - it could have been snow, and I'm really over all that this year.

Had a busy weekend - went to a neighbors Friday night then met some friends in Philly Saturday night (yeah, had my crabby fry fix so I'm good for a few months!).

Spent a lot of time in mom's room going through her stuff - organizing clothing into different piles, etc. Was doing okay Saturday until I found some books in her nightstand, mostly religious, and one I had bought her for her birthday in 2001. I had written a note to her in the cover and read it and the tears started flowing and I was done for the day. It is getting easier each day but there are still major melt-downs from time to time. Sleeping is sporadic at best - took a PM pill last night only because of the time change and needing a good nights' rest before coming back to work.

I feel so bad for my daughter - as most of you know she has two mom's - me, her birthmother, and her adopted mom. Losing my mom was the first time she's ever lost someone she was that close to, and yesterday she told me her other grandmother isn't doing well at all and they don't expect her to live much longer. Her mom is going through a lot of the same things I did because her mom also has her mother living with her and is trying to take care of her. This has been really tough on her.

Other than that not much new in my life right now...just moving on day to day. Take care - Kathy

Good morning, PA!

We're still in Ocean City, MD.  It's raining and dreary here this morning.  This winter has been hard on the beach---seems like most of the beach has eroded.  We've walked over the dunes twice to get a look.  I think it was high tide both times.  Nowhere to sit except right in front of the dunes.  The waves are still huge too.  I've never seen it like this.  Pretty amazing.

Seems my email has been compromised.  On 2 ocassions, something has sent a link from my account.  A friend told me to change my password, so I'm hoping that fixes the problem.

Have a great day, everyone!!!

Julia - I got an email from you and I thought it looked a little fishy, so I deleted it.  Sorry that you have had someone hack your email.

Ya know..when I got the text from you I actually said "WTH is she doing texting me NOW?"  lol

Jo - congrats!!  I love love LOVE fall weddings, your will not doubt be spectacular!  Have fun with the planning!

Lisa - glad you had a good time!  And yup - love the avi as well!

I had a great day yesterday with my parents...it was nice hanging out with them here, then we went to red robin for dinner.  I had a little french onion soup and then half of a "petit cobb salad" It was yummy!

Anyway - it is apparantly that TOM for me.  Apparantly my latest dose of synthroid finally worked...as this is the first time in about 4 years I've had an "average" cycle...and it is kicking the ever living crap outta me.  I went to bed at 11...and literally didn't open my eyes till 9:20 this morning.  That is STRANGE for me, and it happened a bunch of days in the past week.  That's ok, though...I'm letting my body figure itself out with all the new hormones and what not.

Rest of today...hanging around the house, packing up food for work, and then work @ 7p @ LVH tonight.

Have a great day!

 Hi Liz and PA,
I am in my classroom echoing Steffi's sentiment about snow days.  I overslept this morning because I got a panicked call from my daugher-in-law about something we threw away that her husband, my son, wanted to keep.  I had to get dressed, and go down to the garbage cans in the rain to salvage the item, then decided since I was already wet to walk Utley and then go back to bed.

Please say a prayer for my aunt in Wilkes Barre.  My mom's sister.  She is in the hospital and has dementia and her body, it appears, is shutting down now.  Mom is trying to find my cousin, my aunt's only child, to see if she wants to be there for her mom.  My cousin is not wrapped too tight and has a lot of mental health issues which interfere with her ability to relate to people.
Thanks,
Trish

Sorry to hear about your aunt.  Alzheimers is so incredibly difficult for the ones watching.  I hope she is able to be at peace as well as her family when everyone is ready
