OK I am going to admit it!
I MISS ALCOHOL.
LMAO
oK so any other year I would do the annual parade day sitting in bars from 11am -8pm, getting sloshed
I am designated driver for it tomorrow, not going inside, just on call
Tonight I had calls from 3 different groups of friends to meet for drinks. I had 25 calls and emails about parade day!
This is tough. I am not ready to go out and sip water or  am I?
I also have a shower on Sunday at my favorite bar. Thta is also going to be hard, it will make me want to drink and smoke like b4!
I guess I just need to remember that losing this weight will be worth all the sacrifices that I am making.
If I don't change my habits I wont even lose the weight nevermind keep it off!
Thanks for letting me vent!

Lynn,

You've got the right idea...  keep your eyes on the prize!  You can always color your water green if it makes you feel better ;-)... and you can get a mint protein shake and add a little green food coloring and make a "shamrock shake" for it.

Enjoy the day from a very different perspective... if you focus on making the day fun from a different angle, you may find that you enjoy it even more than you used to.

I feel your pain! 3 weeks after surgery was my wedding anniversary, followed by my brothers graduation pary, thanksgiving and Christmas, all by 10 weeks out. Definately not easy!

Enjoy your FREEDOM from those habits. Enjoy being able to have focus and control. And sometimes, although this is mean, watching your drunk friends can be more entertaining than being part of them, lol!

Vent away! We've been there done that!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I know it's not easy.  I can tell you if you start slipping it will keep up.  I am over 4 yrs out and last April had knee replacement surgery, and with no excerise and being bored eating became a habit.  Almost 20 pounds later it is so hard to get bad to eating right.   And you are right, all the sacrifices will be worth it.  Good luck on your outings and be proud of yourself for how far you have already come.
