Good morning all! I fell asleep on the couch from about 7 till 8:30 last night....and then going to bed bout 10:30 so needless to say I was up by 3:30 this morning.

I'll go to the gym around 8 this morning and do my spin class. Then stopping at giant for a few odds and ends. Perhaps a trip to bed bath and beyond and/or target. I'm looking for a lighter weight bed spread for our bed for the warmer months.

Gonna have Bri tale a look at my computer...it's running so slow I can't even load pages. It doesn't appear I have a virus but I'm lost otherwise

probably putting on a pot of stew today for tomoorow/next week, doing some more paperwork with bri for school - financial aid stuff.

And hopefully will have a "caprica" marathon today. My work schedule has not been condusive to watching it so I've got a lot of catching up to do!

Otherwise just enjoying a rainy day at home with the hubby!

Good morning, Pam and PA!

We're at the beach for a few days.  We have some plumbing repairs to do today.  Well, Paul will do them, and I'll help if needed.  I think I'll have him drop me at WalMart while he goes to Home Depot to get the parts he needs.  We may also go to the seashell store to see if we can talk to the metal detector expert.

Have a great day, everyone!!

Good Morning!

I am up and alone. Ah.....quietness! I am sipping my coffee and will be searching fonts as I am finishing up benches I painted yesterday for Riley & Jantzen and need to paint thier names yet.

Only Jantzen is here with me this morning, other kiddos are off to dad's, and Johnny is working. So once the little booger gets up and we get ready, we will fight the wind to to the car and run a few errands. I need to go to the bank and stop and pick up a drivers side window for Johnny's truck. Yeah he "slammed" his door shut and it shattered the window so he has been driving around with pexi=glass duct taped to it. LOL

I may stop at A.C. Moore and search for something to paint for my big boys. I am in a painting mood but as they are 10 & 12, they don't need benches, so I may search around for something like a nice wooden box I can paint up and they can store things in. I want to make something for each kid they can keep and look back on later.

I am hoping to arrange a date with Johnny later. Maybe see Alice in Wonderland, get dinner and have a few adult beverages. We will see. He has to get up at 3:30 am tomorrow AND we set the clocks ahead so that means limited sleep for him.

Hope everyone enjoys this dreary saturday!

morning all.. I am up and showered and about to get ready for the Bar Mitzvah at the synagogue.  The boy belongs to my daughter's pediatrician, with whom we are also friends.  So, this one is not "just another occasion" at the synagogue.

I have to give my little diddy from the Sisterhood telling him what a great job he did and give him a copy of the Torah in book form so he can study from that and learn how to become a "good Jew".  You know, like me!

They are having the party right after services at a nearby hotel so that will be a lot of fun, just like his brother's was.   Siehara and I will be both be wearing new dresses that I personally think we look fantastic in!!   I will post pictures later or tomorrow so you can all judge for yourself!

Tonight, I have no plans but to relax.

Hope you all have a good day and stay dry!!

I need the Torah in book form. I am striving to become a "good Jew" like you & Steffi, but have nothing to study!

Ok, so two weeks ago we had Purim.  Last week was Steffi's nephew's upsherin and this week it's Lisa's friend's son's Bar Mitzvah.  Any insight on this?  It's similar to confirmation for Christians, right?  Oy vey...I am learning more about the Jewish faith than I ever expected to learn on this website.  What's next week?

With all these celebrations, I am thinking about converting....

I want to convert so I can say words that make no sense and have a holiday/celebration almost every week that invovles drinking and eating.

This is my new term for the day. Instead of broadening my english vocabulary, I expand my Yiddish slang......

Zei Gesund To your health. Often said just before a shot of schnapps, which turns out, of course, to be pretty healthy in moderation.

next Saturday is Hadassah Sabbath.  That is another women's organization at the temple.  They are focused more on things related to Israel.  I am not a member of Hadassah.. not for any specific reason, I'm just not.

But, it does mean more celebrating and more food.. I won't be staying for the food next week since it is LIZ day!!  I leave after the service so I can come and hang with all of you wonderful friends.

RE: converting.. you may change your mind with Passover and Yom Kippur.. lol.. mmm matzo.. blech!
