Just wanted to post this in case anyone is interested.

The Saturday support groups are from 10:30 to 12. There is a SG this Sat 3/13 open to all

This is an email from Pat the support group coordinator
" Did you have your surgery a year ago or more? Are you having some challenges that you really didn’t anticipate? Is the honeymoon over?   We recognize that patients who are one or more years out have very different issues than patients who are one month out, and we heard your request for this- no pre-ops, no “newbies" …just us “oldies but goodies"…  so we are starting a support group just for YOU.   Starting April 17, the Saturday Support Group at Brinton Lake will be open to patients who are one or more years post-op ONLY. We will still hold other support groups (I have attached the complete calendar) but the Saturday sessions are YOURS.   We will try this for three months, and if the attendance stays high we will continue… if not, we will open it back up to others.  "

I'm going to set my phone to remind me.

Sandy

Hi Sandy - how are you? I really like the idea of the special support group for those of us over one year out so I will mark my calendar for April 17 and plan on being there. I haven't gained but I haven't lost either and I would like to lose another 20-30 lbs.

I haven't seen you posting in a while so hope all is well. If you didn't see on here my mom passed away Feb. 22nd. I had taken her into the ER on Feb. 14 and she never came home again. In the end she had a collapsed lung and the cancer had spread into her bronchial tube - the doctors told her it was either a nursing home or hospice, and she passed away that day. She fought a good fight, tho, but it took a lot out of her at the end, and my husband and I. She lived with us for 18 years so we're going through a big adjustment right now not having her with us.

Things have settled down and I'm trying hard to get back on track with my proteins, exercise and everything else - a little at a time.

So hope to see you at the meeting on April 17th - I just had my 2 year anniversary on Feb. 18th.

Take care - Kathy
