I am back home
susan,
i am SO glad to hear that you're doing so well. Dr. P is truly amazing, isn't she? And Barix is just the best care you could ever wish for.
Not making light of your experience, but my question was whether you had called Dr. Lam on the way to Barix to see if he would "piggyback" any plastics on the procedure - haha! But it sounds like nothing was necessary! Great news!

Glad you are home and planning a shopping trip! I'd expect nothing less from you! Lol
of course dr p did a great job, the care and compassion is one of her ten million wonderful attributes!!
But you know of course now I have to get all "nursey" on you. Be aware that some insurances will refuse an er bill if you've signed out AMA, so be prepared to fight if needed. And trying to leave with your iv....damn right they remembered! It is a HUGE liability any other way. Iv sites are a BIG area for infections. Especially outside of the hospital setting. And even though you were going right to barix the risk would still be there. A good chance Barix wouldn't have used it anyway with you transporting yourself. Being stuck again stinks, but I can guarantee that phlebitits/cellulitis of the site is ten thousand times worse!
Continued healing!
