I am back home
thanks all for your well wishes, I am home from Barix after emergency surgery yesterday, I wan to Thank Dr. Pupkova & ALL the people & nursing/OR staff that work there they are amazing, my daughter came with me . I originally went to ARIA BUCKS cause Dr. Pupkova told me to go there to get a Ct of the abd, and they wanted to cut me from breast to mybelly and do exploratory, not on my new belly, so I said no one cuts my belly except Dr. P. I was on the phone with her sevral tie thru the night and the surgical residen t was so nice and after he spoke to her he said he liked her she sounds so concerned, they wanted to end me by ambulance to Barix, they are so slow at Aria, and the ER doc didn't want me to go to Barix so I signed myself out of Aria. The surgical resident gave me all copies of my labs to give to Dr. P. When I arrived at Barix Irene called Melissa from PACU and she took me up to a room immediately she started an IV, I tried to get out of ARia with my IV, had a different nurse when I was leaving, so I put my jacket on & she remembered, I just didnt want to get stuck again being NPO for 14 hrs I could see my skin looked dehydrated so I knew I had no veins and that IV start was a ***** they took me down & I had so many people working on me to get me in the OR ASAP. they are all so wonderful there. Dr P did the exploratory by lap and was able to fix it all by laparoscopy. cause as u all know i had
beautiful TT done by Dr. Lam & iwas hoping it didn't get messed up, Debbie was my nurse that day on the floor and she hooked me upwith popsicles and soup and dinner, the Carol McF brought me eggs & soffee for breakfast. I said it was like being on vacation & you dont even have to tip the staff. I just love them all
BOTTOM LINE - Dr. P fixed my hernia and untwisted my intestines with minimal incisions only 1/2 inch wide, i came home today nd all i well, not in to much pain some discomfort on the
L side cause thats where she does most of the work. and I feel great, Iit feels like when I had my oroginal RNY. I am not taking any pain meds so I can drive YEAH, NY & Co here I come tomorrow

I m also glad my TT is in tact, I m not carrying anybags Norm will, we have to go to the mall cause I m suppossed to walk & it is going to rain all weekend, Hows that sound?
because there is all that extra room in our belly the intestines swish around, she says it can happen to people that loose over 100 pounds it does not happen to everyone

Try not to go running around too soon. Even though you are not on pain meds, you still did have surgery. Take care of yourself.
