Sorry to hear about your loss. I see you've gotten lots of good advice on how to handle the food issue. Just remember......take care of yourself. This is truly one of many tests WLS patients will encounter at some point in our journey.

I am very sorry for your loss. I just lost my dad on November 5th when I was 6 months out of my surgery. I have started to ask myself is this "head hunger" or am I needing to eat? I ate by the clock more then than usual because I just was NOT eating. Go to your PCP for help if you need something to get you through. Mine put me on Celexa because it does not have the weight side effects. I actually lost a LOT of my weight during that time! I have now taken about 2 months to lose less than 10lbs. So I guess its making up for it. In any case, you just have to work a little harder during the times you are wanting to eat to make it healthy. Hang in there...days will be hard for quite some time. I'm very sorry for your loss. I father passed away when I was 21 and I know that pain. I think about my dad a lot. You are in my prayers. hugs

Everyones advice is spot on. Do your best and try to remember you won't be of any help to people if you do not take care of yourself or if you become ill.
