Would you say I could have shrimp and scallops at 6 wks out? In my book it says baked or grilled fish.

I was ok with shrimp......just chew it up really well..................but I got a scallop caught and got the foamies from it. I think it's because scallops are kind of rubbery. It was a horrible experience.

After getting shrimp stuck early out, I cut them into threes and chewed, chewed, chewed each piece to death.  Loved it though.  Now I can pop a whole shrimp and chew appropriately without getting stuck.

I'd say that you would be OK just take small bites and chew chew chew! Also make sure not to over cook them so that they don't get rubbery.

Scallops are great early out as long as they're cooked properly (NOT overcooked).  Pan seared (non-stick pan, a little searing flour with salt and pepper, maybe some cilantro...) 3 - 4 minutes per side is perfect... shoudl melt in your mouth and not even require any chewing.

Shrimp are pretty good, but cut them into really small pieces.  Remember - nothing larger than an m&m will go through your stoma...

Tilapia is also very good early out - very moist and flaky...

Thanks everyone!! We went out and I decided to go with the broiled tilapia- which was very good. It was 2 pieces, probably about 4 oz each- I could only eat a little less than half of one, so I have leftovers :)

Glad you had a nice dinner with leftovers!!!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

I had grilled shrimp, but made sure I'd pull out the stringy thingies so I didn'tget the foamies.  Haven't tried scallops yet, but flounder and tillapoa go down easy.  Lobster is off my diet forever, too chewy.
