I use carnation instant breakfast with no sugar added and 1 % milk.  Between the 2 its 14 grams of protein. I have to drink 3 a day, so with just that I am getting in 42grams a day as it is.  My "nut" also said that in the first 2 weeks for me I should make sure I am getting in 20-40grams of protein a day.  I just had my surgery on Tuesday and with the exception of being a little sore, I am feeling pretty good. Today I didn't even take a nap.  That suprised me for sure.

I made the mistake of buying chocolate whey protein and guess what. I added it to cream of wheat and it made me sick so now I have  a full container that I can't use.

You will do great on your surgery. I was so scared that I wouldn't wake up because I have a 4 almost 5 year old daughter and guess what I did and I am doing well!

You will do fine! Keep up updated!

Good luck on the surgery. I am 2 months out and down 50 lbs... no regrets. Take ear plugs or an ipod for the hospital, way noisy at night.

I like the Pro Performance 100% whey at GNC,especially the chocolate and strawberry. I just blend with water and ice. Not too sweet and you can add a couple slices of banana to change the taste. I only use about 6 oz of water to 1 scoop. I found if I use milk it gets too foamy and you take in too much air.

Remember when you are feeling better we can travel to some support groups together. I want to try Hazleton andmaybe Allentown with Lynn.

We will save a seat for you on the losers bench!

I might as well stay up.

I'm so scared and totally excited at the same time.
I hope that on Wednesday when I come home,.. I can come on to our Pa. forum and tell you that all went well...   ; )
