Fabulous Friday Roll Call
Good Morning everyone. Love the smilely pic.
I'm working from home (almost always) today. I am going to do the treadmill at a low speed to get back into some excercise post plastics. No heavy stuff til 6 weeks, but walking is fine.
We have no plans tonight but I need to fit in a trip to Kohl's betw tonight and Sunday to use my 30% coupon --- woo hoo. Hubby needs some sneakers and I seem to always be in shopping mode lately (what a difference from 1 1/2 years ago!)
Not sure about Barix tomorrow. May go over for a while.

It's Friday? LOL... who knew... they seem to all be running together now that i'm not working. I feel like Fridays are only exciting when your working....
Speaking of work- I have a phone interview today! Wish me luck! I was laid off from a great job 2 weeks before I had my baby and now i'm hitting the pavement pretty hard to find a new job.
The sun is shining- it looks so hopeful out... spring better be right around the corner!!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/jump.gif)

Good morning Jodi and all of PA - Hey Jo - have you alread been drinking this morning?!?! What a festive beginning! :)
I am UTTERLY exhausted. I truly feel like it is September again....This is the first full work week I have had in over a month. Remember I had two days off the week BEFORE the storms started. OY! I have survived and with minimal anxiety - I started feeling it the other morning and allowed the kids to give me their energy. Usually that is all it takes.
I am still feeling pretty crummy about the pics from last night, but I realized that I think what I truly need is some ego stroking from the one person it matters the most from...Larry - it is NOT his usual way so I have to let him know that that is exactly what I need from him. Yup - many years of therapy have reared their ugly head and I am going to not expect it without telling him first what it is that I truly need. Money well spent! :)
As for this weekend, hopefully tonight will be a Mahj night - trying to work it out, tomorrow is a day of running with the hopes of getting to the Barix meeting for the 2nd half. Then out with Lisa to see some facebook friends tomorrow night - one coming in from ENGLAND! :) Sunday is another crazy day with a party for my nephew - don't get too excited - it is an orthodox party for a three year old - another different kind of celebration. OY!
Hope you all have a GREAT friday and a terrific warm weekend! :)

ummmmmmmmm?? clueless here too..now I have to go look that up.
oohhhhhhhhhh... didn't know what it was called. I don't have too many orthodox friends.
In the Bible, human life is sometimes compared to the growth of trees.[2] According to Leviticus 19:23, one is not permitted to eat the fruit that grows on a tree for the first three years. Some Jews apply this principle to cutting a child's hair. Thus little boys are not given their first haircut until the age of three. To continue the analogy, it is hoped that the child, like a tree that grows tall and eventually produces fruit, will grow in knowledge and good deeds, and someday have a family of his own. Hasidic Rabbis have made this comparison, and in some communities a boy before his first haircut is referred to as "orlah", like a tree in its first years.

Ok - so here it is - when an orthodox boy turns three it is the introduction to formal learning. They get their haircut for the first time and get their pais. (The curls that hang down from their sideburns.) Then they go to the school and get a taste of "reading" hebrew for the first time. For my other nephew they dipped a lollipop into honey and then put it on the hebrew alphabet to represent the "sweetness of learning" then there is lots of singing and playing with the kids. Then there is a reception with a "celebratary meal" According to my sister - that is the most important part...I don't know I think the learning would be the most important part - but what do I know - I drive on the sabbath! :)
