Dr. Brader speaks...
First and foremost I was a little late and missed the pixie dust stunt that happened but heard it was funny.
Here is my summary of last nights meeting. First he spoke straight from the hip like he always does and was very witty.
His message was one that we always need to be reminded of. We are accountable for ourselves. He stated that when you are a few years out and 'it doesn't seem to be working" anymore.. look back at what you were doing your first three or four mnths out. Is it the same or have YOU changed it along the way. You have to know what you put in your mouth and what it will do. Don't step to the edge to often because then you are tempted to 'jump' off.
His tips were to plan, write down your goals, always have a new goal.. (not just weight numbers), enjoy reaching your goals.
I'm sure others that were there may have gotten more out of it but this is the part I liked best. Would love to hear from the others about what they pulled out of his powerpoint.
LOVED THE LIGHTBULB SLIDE. (lone lightbulb plugging itself in for energy.. :-))
SOunds like this was a great presentation (I'd expect nothing less from him). Once the baby comes and I am done breastfeeding it is back to basics for this girly!
Dr. Brader is always an excellent speaker and as you said, he doesn't sugar coat anything. I look forward to the meetings every month, it's nice to "see" how everyone is progressing in this journey.
I loved the presentation. I thought he was personable and funny -- not underestimating his intelligence. I came away feeling so motivated.
I wish I had met a few more of you who attended. I met and sat next to Liz (Savannah) who was a true delight. I also had the pleasure of meeting Kim too, and that was fun. I'm hoping to go back next month and looking forward to meeting more people from OH.
