Just dropping in to say hi!

Howdy all! Just wanted to drop in and give a quick update! Alastrina was 9 weeks old on Friday and is doing fantastic. She is growing like crazy!!! Her 2 month appointment was canceled because of the snow. However using the unscientific method of getting on the scale with her and without her, mom determined she weighs at least 8 pounds!

I am doing well. I am down to 146 pounds which is 12 pounds less than I weighed when I got pregnant and only 3 pounds more than my lowest weight I hit since my surgery. I have been at this weight since less than a week post baby.  I go back to work tomorrow after taking 18 days of my own time on top of my maternity leave. I may be off again very soon though. I have my appointment on March 9th with the oncologist to discuss my hysterectomy. Wish me luck...

Anyway here are a couple pictures of the baby taken yesterday!

Thanks for sharing her beautiful pics and checking in! And so glad to hear you are doing well weight wise. It can be tough for some. (Ahem...me!)

Keep us posted on the progress of both of you!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

The pictures are ADORABLE and you're right - she is getting sooooo big!!  Congrats to BOTH of you!  I just also had to add - the pic in the stocking - brought back fond memories for me.  I was born 12 days before Christmas and my parents have a picture of ME in a stocking, too!  (only they lovingly shoved me under the tree for the photo....lol  I tease them that was child abuse and I could have gotten a pine needle in my eye!)

Congrats on the weight loss - PHENOMENAL!!

Pleeeese check in when you can!  I think about the two of you often!
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
