Hi Lucy! First of all congrats on your son!

I am 3+ years out and 28 weeks pregnant with baby #1 so no first hand experience. Thank God I haven't gained a pound YET. I'm waiting lol

I would say get back to basics - maybe do the 5 day pouch test (google it for exact instructions) unless you are breastfeeding then it will have to wait. Otherwise start right away with back to basics - tomorrow start back to protein first, veggies next and fruits / whole grain carbs last. Make sure you are getting at least 64oz of decaf, sugar free, non-carbonated fluids, meeting your protein goal and moving your body.

Good luck and congrats again!! Remember your tool is still there you just have to start working it again! And yes - feel free to throw all this back in my face in June when I am complaining about post pregnancy weight! lol

hi liz thanks for your response.
He is my first baby also and at first i didn't gain anything then when i was on my 7th mth thats when i started gaining because the first few mths i was losing weight then i stood the same but it is a little upseting you lose the weight and then have to gain, but on the long run you will be happy with your baby and then start thinking about the weight lost  also it is tuff because i had a classical c-section so i am not able to exercise much yet.
Congrats with your pregnancy and god bless.

WIth a 2 month old, you just need to take it slow. Your body is still reeling from having a baby, and your hormones could still be out of whack a little bit. I would not go on any hardcore diets quite yet.

And, if your breastfeeding, you still need the extra 500 calories a day to sustain your milk supply.
I would just try to make simple slow adjustments. Don't quit the carbs cold turkey, but start switching to whole grains, etc. and drink a lot of water.

Just start out by eating a balanced diet.

And here goes the killjoy in me....I had surgery in 2004, had my daughter in August 2008...and Im still trying to lose that last 10-12 lbs. This weight is a lot more stubborn to get rid of. But, it is possible. It is just going to take work!

I just had my 2nd baby (first after surgery) in September... but here is the most important question... are you breast feeding... if you are your ped will kill you if you try to "diet" and lose the weight because that means fewer calories in your breast milk for them... now if you aren't breast feeding then that part doesn't matter...

Now saying that... I feel your pain... but can't lose the weight because I'm pumping because miss thing (aka Annabelle) doesn't do well at all on formula... so i pump ALLLLLL THE TIME lol... this was also my 2nd c-section... and with my massive boobs I am having a hard time finding exercises that don't break my neck and back lol...

but hang in there...

Lorelei's was never that bad but she also wouldn't latch on so i pumped... was on meds from 2ms till 9ms

Annabelle did latch on but they wouldn't give me meds for her... she seems to out grown it some... but i am very careful in what i eat because i know anything spicy in any high amounts will set her off along with most veggies...

gagging and reflux aren't the same thing... it sounds like his gag reflex hasn't gotten up with his age yet... that is something that develops as they go along... learned that with Annabelle... she was drooling so much it sounded at night that she was almost drowning... had to take her into the doc and that is when i learned that...  what med to they have him on for the reflux?  and have you gotten a 2nd opinion on it... to see if you can get a higher dose or something?  also what formula is he on because we did formula with Lore from 4ms on... she could only do Good Start...
