Anybody do anything today?

I went to the gym and did 15 mins on the elliptical before my personal trainer appointment.

"Kujo" (James) was training me.  I had thought that he would be my personal trainer from here on in...apparantly, no, he's the general manager, and was just "getting me started"

We did 35 minutes of lower body weights along with exercises to do cardio while doing lower body, oh and one lower abdominal exercise while we were waiting for a machine to open up.

My legs were DEFINATELY rubber like when I was done. He asked if I hated him and I told him no, not at all.  He then told me to call him Monday morning, and I could tell him I hate him then because "that's when it would get really bad - when you wake up Monday morning"

And oddly enough, my first REAL personal trainer date?  Monday at 12:30  GREEEEAAAATTTT

Haha - GOOD FOR YOU, Pam!  I'll bet you rocked those exercises and machines!  (and he's right, based on my personal trainer experience... take tylenol tonight with a hot shower, repeat tomorrow night and take tylenol immediately before bed and you MIGHT be able to get out of bed Monday morning.)

But that training appt on Monday will feel amazing (painful at first until everything warms up, then amazing!).

I didn't do anything today (other than haul around sheets of lumber and install sub-flooring, change the sheets on the bed, and have a massive argument with Eddie... all of which count as some form of exercise).

You and Brian apparently wore off on us... but the thunderstorm's over now and tomorrow's a new day.  And I think he was impressed with just how MAD I got at him (even threw something)... I know I was impressed by it, personally.  As someone who's just learning how to really FEEL emotions without running to food, it's kinda freeing and also kinda scary to realize that you just had a real, honest-to-goodness, yelling argument where you expressed precisely and exactly how you were FEELing... hmmm.  lesson heard and understood.

Sorry to hear about you and Eddie, being there recently myself.  Today was better...but with Brian..our "thunderstorms" are generally followed by a day or so of light rain if you will.  And today was about the same as I had expected.

It IS a different feeling to sincerely express yourself, isn't it?

Oh - and as far as the shower tylenol thing...I did that tonight.  Am going to a spin class in the morning - will post which one tomorrow (it depends on what time I get up) and then tomorrow is our one night vacation for Brian's bday - a stay at the bed and breakfast - whi*****ludes a whirlpool tub in the room and also a couples massage.  The massage is at 3pm tomorrow...and the soaking tub will definately be used before bed tomorrow night.   Hopefully that will allow me some sort of mobility Monday morning/afternoon with the trainer!

Pam,

Did he have you on the Bosu ball and glide disc's? Just wondering. That's what my trainer had me on the first day at LA and I was crippled for 3 days. No kidding. I litterally had to crawl on my hands and knees from the couch to the kitchen on day 2. Day 3 and 4 I could only walk on my tippy toes my calves hurt so bad. Hopefully you won't be that bad for your get-a-way.

Have fun at spin class on Sunday. I'll be spinning with ya at the Pottstown LA.

No, he didn't...just machines...except for the one exercise which was like a "step up" - you used a weight bench that ppl do presses on, keep one leg planted on it (so your knee is a 90 degree angle bascially) and step up, bringing the other leg up with you.

But, we'll see what the "real" trainer does with me on Monday.  He was just "getting me started"....crap...what is the real stuff gonna be like?

:o)   you're going to love it.

I have to say the name Kujo is a bit scarey. Hopefully your reg trainer will have a sweeter name.

The glide disc's are pretty cool. I recently bought them ($19) and I really feel it in my hamstrings and abs. Two areas that I rarely get sore but these thingies do it. It's a nice, cheap piece of equipment to have at home for when you can't get to the gym.

Keep up the good work.

His name is James.  I called him Kujo cause his biceps were the size of my thighs....and he was well over 6 foot.  Standing next to me, 5'3".....

The trainer I'm seeing is Christine.  Hopefully she isn't like the car in the movie....

And you're right - I will love it!
