I'm sitting here in the recliner working from home.  Have to love telecommuting.  I'm still in recovery mode so no shoveling for me.  The drifts are terrible.  Had my son shovel the walk and just looked out and looks like he didn't do it . . .

Tonight we'll just hang and watch the Olympic hockey games.

Good Morning All.

I am home - taking a snow day. Of course they aren't nearly as exciting when you have to waste a perfectly good vacation day on it but at least I know that me and baby are safe at home. We have about a foot of snow and it is still coming down. Chris just went out and snow blowed the driveway. Not sure if he has to get into work today or not. The roads look passable although not good.

Not sure what I'll do with my found day off, if CHris stays home we'll staple down the carpet in the baby's room and hang the bar in the closet. If he goes to work I'll probably just lounge and do some cooking. I already have a batch of dough rising for some cinnamon buns. NOT low carb by any means but it'll be a nice treat.

Be safe if you have to go outside!! I am like Jo and Lisa, no shoveling for me! I can only lift 10 pounds so not worth the risk. That and not worth the risk of falling or slipping.

Morning folks,

Another day of chaos.  So far, we've gotten a leak because the shut off valves under the kitchen sink aren't working, which has flooded my workbench in my office, necessitating an emergency clean-off and clean-up down there, and a super-quick clean-out of the driveway so eddie could get to lowes to buy new shutoff valves.  in the meantime, water is cut off to the house, so no toilet, sink, shower, etc. (teenager is, of course, traumatized, which means she has to go to the mall - huh?).

I've dismantled the pantry closet, removed all the molding, moved the kitchen table (heavy sucker) into the living room, packed up all the spices, and am now removing the backsplash (yuk!).  We'll start laying sub-floor as soon as he gets the leaks resolved and we can get the sink and the rest of the cabinets out.  No need for the gym today!  (and probably not tomorrow - but i'm going to try and get to zumba on sunday morning)

If I can just keep my mom from "helping" today it will be a good thing.

Good Afternoon Trish,
Looks like I'm a bit late getting here today.  Would think since I was working from home I'd have been on here early morning but ran into so many problems trying to install my remote access that my entire day has been spent on the phone with Tech Support Personel trying to get this running.  Final conclusion is, I will bring my laptop to work on Monday so the Techs can look at it and figure out why I'm getting to the final stage and then nothing.  Probably something very simple.

Almost done working 4 more minutes and my weekend will begin.  It was nice being home working.  Got to cook breakfast and eat with Gene, then heat up lunch and again spend that time with my honey......

Tonight don't know what we are doing other than staying in the house...

Hope everyone had a great snow day!!!!!

Ida
