!!Breaking News!! The Tool works if you do!!!

Oh, it's not breaking news, now is it?

This isn't about "look what I did".  So what is it about?  It's about "even at 2 1/2 years out", you can get back on track.  I'm a firm believer in nipping it in the bud, however.  I have decided to get back down towards my 132 ish weight....and sticking to between 130-135 and NOT 135ish....because that quickly turned into 140-142 etc. etc.

Not that it's a "wow" moment like some of my others but after just a few days of getting REALLY back on track, making sure I get my exercise in, watching what I eat, etc etc etc I've dropped a decent amount of weight this week.

I'm well aware that most of this is PROBABLY water weight, but have confidence that I can once again be in control.

My highest weight (WITHOUT my female water retention) of late, where I had been slacking  and eating some sugar and lots of carbs and all sorts of stuff...was around 142

Last night when I woke up (my "morning" weigh in) I was already down to 137.

Friday afternoon I have a fitness assessment at the gym, and then I plan to work out.

Saturday I have my first personal training session - which he told me we will NOT be working out, just testing and all that jazz, so I plan to stay at the gym after that and work out (or go ahead of time...but I don't want to "tire" myself out and not be able to give him a true assessment of what I can/cannot do, I"ll take a look at the classes and figure it out)

Thanks for all the support and friendship along with the kicking to get back into basics and all that other stuff :)  I really appreciated it.
Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Amen Pam.

At 5 years out, I am going through the same  process and it still works.

My Normal weight for years was always approx 132-135. After my pregnancy, and slowly sneaking back into carbs, I not only kept the baby weight but couldn't get it off and was up to 152. I flipped.

After realizing it was MY fault, not Jantzens (lol), I made changes. I got down to 144 on my own, and this morning, I was 140.5. Now with the surgery and swelling and so forth, I don't know what I will end up at after all the healing but I am still only eating lean proteins, veggies and a RARE Arnolds sandwich thin if I am only up to eating a quick sandwich.

I agree. A few pounds leads to the "ish" weigh and before you know it, you are 10 pounds more than that will only lead to 15,20,,,,,etc.

I am totally with you on this journey of taking control again. Good luck to you!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Just wanted to say "thank you" for your openness and honesty as I am about 14 months out and worry about staying focused when I'm two, three... ten years out. Thus far I have done very well, but know food is my demon and I have to always keep ME in check with it/around it.

I actually removed the scale from my bathroom as I became obssessive with weighing myself like every other day. Now I pull it out every two weeks, weigh in and put it back.

thanks again,
Chanel

See, Pam - this is why you're such an inspiration!  It's a wow moment just from the simple perspective of the sheer determination and strength of will that it demonstrates.  Great work, and the very definition of successing.

Pam,

Congrats on getting back on track and thank you for sharing with us.  I too need to watch better than I have been ---- have been using the plastic surgery as an excuse for needing more calories to heal . . . while that may be true, not all calories are created equal so I don't think those hershey's kisses are going to help me heal any better.  I'm committed as well to really work the tool so it can work for me.
