Anyone (pre or post) surgery may go to these, right? I am in EGV and would like to go to the one in March. I haven't had surgery yet--hoping for May/June. I attend the St. Lukes support group, but I would like to try this out too. Can you tell me how to get more info, like directions and such.
Thanx!

You do realize that most of the local Hospitals have a monthly support group that is open to even those that didn`t have their surgery there and that includes Sacred Heart Allentown, St Lukes Allentown Campus and even Palmerton Hospital. I`ve been to all three and they were all good and very welcoming.
Not sure why there isn`t a big membership here from other LV surgeons since currently there are some really good ones operating in the LHV area.

We are LVH people (Dr Rovito) and we really wish they would not do so many of those break out sessions. I don't care for them as much for some reason. I am more apt to speak during them (ask questions, share etc) but I like being in with everyone in the big room better.
We had to miss this week's due to a viewing we had to go to. We try to go every month though because they really help to keep us on track!

Oh I actually prefer the breakout sessions. Some of the people in the group tend to be a little much for my taste sometimes, but like you I am more apt to get involved with a small group. Jerry said that next month there is going to be an RNY and Lap breakout groups (2), not a pre- and post-op one for each too (4).
The big group is too many people and I zone out too quicky. Oh well, hope to see you there!
