New to the site, surgery on Monday

Thanks so much everyone. I look forward to being on the losers bench with you. Can't wait for my journey to begin and continue. A little nervous but very much excited. I will definitely be on here for more advice and support in my days of losing. Hope to hear from you all soon.

The surgery is never as bad as your fears!  And they are usually pretty quick about giving you something for your nerves before you even go in the OR.  It will be fine and you will be back to normal in no time.  I really believe that binding my tummy after surgery saved me a lot of grief!  I only took about 3 of the pain pills they gave me.  Good luck, we look forward to hearing from you next week.

Welcome to the site and good luck with your surgery.  My hubby had his surgery @ Temple in 2006.  They are awesome there!

Good luck on Monday!! It is normal to feel nervous, but once you start seeing results and feeling better you will be glad that you did it!! I waited five years before I finally had my surgery almost 9 months ago. It is the BEST thing that I have done for ME. I was always so busy taking care of other people that I neglected myself. NO MORE!!!  Remember, this is the beginning of a wonderful journey to a better, healthier life.

Thanks so much guys. Yes, I am one day away and getting more nervous but still very excited. Going to Walmart today to tie up some lose ends on the things I need or want to have at home. Some games and a body pillow for sure. Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.
