Thoughts for Jena as well

I saw a status on facebook and also received a text from Jena (my surgery buddy in western PA). 

She is in Magee Womens Hospital until Saturday. She had an emergency hernia repair last night.  All of the pain she has been feeling since July was this hernia.  They couldn't see it before because it was tucked between her old stomach and her spleen.   She gave me very specific details of what was going on.. She said that there was a hole in the area and every once in awhile, pieces of her intestines would slip in, cause the pain and then slip out.  This time, it got stuck.  The surgeon was able to make 3 incisions and used the same scars from her RNY.

She said she is so relieved now that she is not going to have to deal with the pain anymore that it doesn't bother her that she had surgery. 

Some of her friends were able to get there to be with her and her boyfriend will be there today.

So, lets add another friend to our prayer list!

"incarcerated hernia" is what you are describing - and yes - it is a definite emergency.

Please pass on my thoughts and prayers for speedy recovery and glad this is hopefully behind her now!!

I think I'm going to have an incarcerated baby daddy soon....

Glad that you are well enough to post!  I know for me that is my barometer....if I am NOT on the internet something must be REALLY wrong! :)  Geep getting better! :)

Wow glad they found the problem, and got it fixed. That is not something to mess around with. Jena hope you are feeling much better, and heal quickly.
