***Fantastic Friday Roll Call***

Hump day for me!

As you can see....i've done a bunch of catching up tonight.  I'm in the "core triage" portion of work right now, which entails, literally, sitting at the same desk for 12 hours except for your break.  You are not to leave the desk, not even to walk a patient back.  You are to be the first person people see when they walk in, and in that way, be able to get them into the system immediately.  It has to do with scoring and the inspections and what not.  Because now we can say "each patient saw a nurse within x amount of minutes"  It's basically a glorified greeter who needs to be able to give a patient a correct "acuity" by basically just looking at them and not assessing them.  I swear, by the end of the night, I will surely have a bedsore on my ass.

Anyway, once I pry myself from my seat in the morning I'm headed down to the pharmacy where they better have my scripts ready....it took 3 calls to my doctors office in the past 2 days...they SWEAR they did it this time.  VERY unusual, though...as this is normally the doctors office that does things immediately, let alone needing reminders.

Once home...it's packing up food (easy cause I preportioned it), washing my face (sticking with the self care stuff), probably some TV time and headed to bed BEFORE Rachel goes on...otherwise I will be up entirely to late and be a very grumpy girl, lol

Enjoy your day!

Good Morning Pam,
You are such a trooper to pull all nighters at work.  I am grateful that people such as you are willing to work, just in case I need it.

I am up for a potty break, only to learn that after a half hour walk, when I got home from group,
where he did nothing, Utley went and did both types of business in my hall.  I have Oxy Pet Cleaner stuff to take care of it.

Friday will be busy for me.  I must finish my laundry.  Then, I must make a trip to the gym for my swimming and walking, not to mention the jacuzzi.  Then, I friend from rehab is coming over and will help me with some lifting and transporting of some items to my sister's and a friend's.  He will also help me with some organizing around here.  Tonight I have my AA meeting down the street, and then some knitting.

I hope everyone has a great day.

Huggles,
Trish

Oddly enough...I would RATHER the overnights.  Strange because years and years ago I was the highschooler who was in bed by 9pm, and up at the crack of dawn.  I took a night job at my last hospital because I basically had to due to school and what not...and haven't looked back since :)

Good Morning.

I am getting ready to leave for my Biology lab, then straight from there, I head to my surgery! Woo Hoo! I am so freaking excited. Johnny is nervous! LOL

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I hope to be home by late this afternoon, early evening.

It's a GOOD friday for me!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

kudos to you for going to class first... I sure as hell would be home going crazy.  But, that's probably why you are going to class so you are not driving yourself ape ****

Good luck today!! You're going to be great!

Well TGIF Pennsylvania!

It's been a busy work week for me and today is no exception. Was in Philly yesterday for a day long meeting which generated a LONG "to do" list, and this is one of my busy seasons anyway. So...a long day ahead.

However...I'm working at home. So I plan to take a break to work out in the pool mid day - it's my best option for a class today, and I don't want to skip the gym. Postponed my trainer session till Monday though. And tonight is a massage! (Wow, talk about self care!)

Need to get a birthday gift for our daughter, even though she'll be spending her birthday with her sweetie. Tonight we might try to find a movie to see, or just stay home and turn in early (just because we can!).

Hope that the rest of the night went quickly for you! I was up a lot during the night - I'll post separately.

Today I was running late from the moment that my feet hit the floor! Lots of braxton hicks contractions last night keeping me awake. Then of course a girl needs breakfast and the baby wanted a lemonade from Chick-fil-a so that was a slight detour - OH WELL! Work will wait! After work I have to get gas and stop at the grocery store then home to prep the very few things I need to for cooking class tomorrow.

Good luck today Jo! Look forward to your text!

Good morning all - I'm at work today - for a short week (Monday was a holiday for me) it sure has seemed like a long one. Looking forward to the weekend and not having to hit the snooze button!

Mom is still in the hospital - she seemed to be breathing better last night but has no energy or strength. The pulminary specialist did call me and update me but honestly they still can't tell me what's wrong with her. But he is a very nice man and said I can call anytime with questions or concerns and he would get back to me ASAP. Much better than her oncologist *****ally works on my last nerve. So I got her dinner together and made sure she ate some of it, sat and talked for a while then headed home. The days are long when you're out of the house 13 or 14 hours at a time.

I wasn't going to go by tonight but I think I will - one of her church friends called last night and said she'd go in Saturday so maybe I'll skip tomorrow and concentrate on my husband and myself. I need a manicure in the worst way, and a pedi - need to take some slacks back to Kohl's that were too big - pick up a few things at the store, etc. I really want to get on my exercise bike tomorrow, too, even if its only for 1/2 hour, but at least its something for me.

Other than that not much new in my life right now...hope you all have a great weekend.

Kathy
