Thursday Roll Call

Good morning all.  I'm here to pledge another 24 hours of sobriety and sane eating.  My daughter is here with me at work today.  My mother and two cousins are coming into Philly for a couple of days and I'll be having lunch with them this afternoon.

I overslept this morning and was late for my shot...my third epidural for my discs.  If this fails, then the doc will try something else...one thing at a time. 

Today has me resting a little, and doing some tidying and then, Lord willing, heading to my group tonight.  My group is great, just hard work sometimes.

Finally checking in.

Had english class first thing this morning. I am home now, trying to organize a few things as I will be out of commision for a few days and want to limit the amount of ...."mom, where is this?", or Johnny asking a million questions about this or that. LOL

I will go to the store later to stock up on some quick and easy meals for the next few days. then home to lay awake in bed all night as I know I won't sleep very well.

Good morning, PA!

Today is my 8 month surgiversary.  I can't believe it's 8 months already!

We took Paul's son to school this morning, then went to breakfast at IHOP.  We're home again, with leftovers in the fridge.  Paul has a headache, so I've packed him with ice and lo mein (only 1 ice pack, so I grabbed a bagged frozen dinner to use as another ice pack.)  Hopefully he'll be feeling better when he wakes up.

Mary told me a very interesting natural headache remedy, I can't try it right now because of the baby but you fill the bathtub 1/2 full with HO****er (a little hotter then you could normally stand) get a chair and sit next to the tub with your feet in the water for 10 minutes. Supposedly it does something with the blood flow that makes the headaches go away - she swears by it

Thanks for the remedy, Liz!  I had seen it when Mary posted it for you but forgot about it.  So far, I haven't been able to get him to try it.  We're not sure what causes his headaches, but they started after his car accident. 

LOL liz, me too.  I actually had to read it a few times...I was trying to figure out what the heck lo mein had to do with a headache!

Somedays I read everyone's posts here and I just have no clue what's going on.  Anyhow...  working till 6 today.  Came in late because I had to have my permanent filling put in this morning.  Otherwise nothing going on tonight after work, except hanging with the girls while Erin is at softball practice.

Maybe you are better off - I for one - have been dealing with personal and work-related drama and well....eeeewwwww...*****ally wants to know that stuff - I just like to hear myself talk (Even if it is in my head! :))
