I got a text from Tanya during the night (2am) that they had to take Marshall to the hospital, at that time they didn't know what was wrong with him but I followed up with her this morning the the poor little guy has RSV (it's a real bad respiratory illness - think bronchitis but worse in a 7 pound body). He was transferred to a Children's Hospital down there.

When I hear more I'll update

Liz

UPDATE 7pm - Marshall is resting, she said he is sleeping alot and well she isn't! lol They are still waiting on blood work and urine cultures to come back. All is stable though

Thanks for posting this Liz.. I got the same text and was going to post something about it.

I did not get the follow up info on the RSV.  My prayers are definitely with them all.  If I hear anything else, I'll update as well.

Oh the poor little guy - that's awful. Please pass along my prayers to Tanya and her hubby, too. Thanks for letting us know.

Yes, it's a bad type of upper respiratory infection.  More so because he's soooo tiny.  Good news is that most of the time it is just "symptomatic treatment" meaning humidified oxygen to help his breathing and managing of secretions.

Prayers to all of them.  Please tell her that her pa nursey friend is thinking and praying for them!

Sending lots of positive energy their way... it's so painful when our kids are sick and you feel so helpless to help them over it.  Keep us posted.

Prayers going out for Marshall. RSV sucks. My first boy had it when he was about 9 months and was in the hospital for awhile. He is almost 20 now. I am sure that Marshall will get the care he needs and will be back home in no time.

I just got off the phone with Her Marshall is sleeping and resting right now.  Doctors are still deciding what to do for a plan of attack to make sure he is ok.  As soon as she knows more she will let me know.  Kinda a waiting game, but he is at a great hospital and T has the attitude to make sure her little man is taken care of.  What is ******g me off is that the past 2 days she has had him to 2 different Dr's and they said he was fine just Colic. Just Colic my Butt.  Sorry had to vent!!!!

Thanks for the update!

Mother's instinct is NEVER wrong!

I am sure that he'll be just fine. MY little cousin had it at a week old - it's scary stuff!
