med advice please

Ok so we bought rapid release gel caps. I have been melting in water and then swallowing
Questions are
1) What should I be taking?
2)How much?
3)Can I handle pills if i cut up to swallow or will they get stuck?
should I just chuck em all and buy meltaway tylenol(Isugar?)\
I can swallow small pills have no trouble w vit d or sythroid
4)Is it ok to start my vitamion regimen after i start purees tomorrow(am afraid to take b4 I have something in system and all gas should pass, right?
5)Anything you experts know is always greatly appreciated
Thanks
I recommend the Tylenol Meltaway Jrs too. They're sweetened with splenda, and safe for us. I would take 2 at a time, and sometimes add a third if the pain was bad. They worked pretty well for me.
I had trouble swallowing anything other than my Synthroid and Zyrtec (both are tiny pills) for about the first month. I was on 20mg of prilosec and had to cut that in half to take it -- the first time I took it, I tried to take it whole and it got stuck, which was NOT FUN.
I started my vitamin regimen once I was home, and yes, definitely have some food before you take them. The multivites can be especially harsh on an empty pouch. I took, and still take, chewable vitamins.
Only other advice is sip sip sip and walk walk walk!

All the advice is pretty much right on.
Do NOT take more than a regular doseage. Yes, we have malabsorptive issues, but you should be ok for some tylenol.
Some can take the liquid tylenol without issues, other have dumped on it.
According to my surgeon (and each one differs) as long as the pill was smaller than an M&M I was allowed to take it whole. Tylenol was one of them.
I never used the melt aways - but sounds like they worked for people.
Glad you are doing well!
Oh - as far as vitamin regimines are concerned - ask your surgeon. Mine started me in "stages" if you will - having me add a few more each week or whatever it worked out to be.

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.
