Bon Bon's

Someone posted a recipe for chocolate covered cream cheese balls and I would like to know if they would post it again.  I would like to do a healthy but nice dinner for my family for Valentines Day and I need suggestions, especially dessert.

Thanks!
Loree

yay - that's mine! lol

8oz cream cheese
1 bag of sugar free chocolate chips melted
mix together. Put in fridge to set

Now here's where the fun comes in! You can roll them in cocoa, cover in lemted chocolate, roll in PB2, coconut, chopped nuts anything!

Good luck and that is a great idea for V-day!

Where do you get SF chocolate chips?  I've never seen them.

My super walmart carries them.  They are in a dark brown bag with a silver "banner" on them.  Made by Hersheys

I get them at Weis'.  I know Liz can get them at the super Walmart near her, but they don't have them at the one near me.  Hershey's makes them.  I don't know what kind of stores you have near you, but they are with the rest of the chocolate chips

depending on your sensitivity to sugar you can also use the Girardheli 72% cocoa chips, I am pretty sensitive to sugar and do OK with these. I think that there are 11 grams of sugar in 1/4 cup. Well unless you eat 4 truffles you aren't getting close to 1/4 cup of chocolate.

I do get the Hershey's sugar free chips at Super Walmart at Route 33 & 248 in Easton - other have found them at the Giant on 2nd Street Pike in Southampton.

Thanks, I'll have to search for them.  We have Giant, Super Walmart and Weis too!

You can also order the Sensato sugar-free chocolate chips online at netrition.com.  They're really great - they're the MINI chocolate chips, which is sometimes so much better in a recipe!

Oh and for other food - I was thinking of doing surf and turf. Chris really likes lobster but never gets to eat it. So I thought that I would that for us for V-day and a nice steak - 100% lean protein! I was also thinking about green beans almondine - another of his favorites. I am still contemplating dessert though.
