Great Job Shilpa!!!

I also did the same and got Deanna to help me. She LOVES to shovel!! She did the walkway and steps. I did my car and then later on we shoveled a spot for my hubby who was on his way home from work. I am feeling it today as well, so I am taking it easy....

See ya at the next meeting, if there is not ANOTHER snow storm! LOL...

Woo Hoo Shilpa!! I know where you're coming from - we live in a development that has an HOA so we have plowers and shovelers who come around, but Saturday morning we woke up to NO heat in the house and couldn't figure out why - after hubby tried working on the system for a couple of hours I called our neighbor who is Mr. Fix-It - he knew exactly what was going on - our vents for the furnace were blocked by snow so the safety on the system kept shutting it down as soon as it came on.

Since my hubby is 71 and not in the greatest shape he tried getting to the pipes but didn't have much success, so I bundled up, grabbed the shovel and shoveled my way around the house to the pipes (they're hidden behind bushes in the mulch beds). Of course we started with the WRONG pipes!! I shoveled out the sump pump pipes first, and then we realized the exhaust pipes were under the other window, so I had to shovel about 4' of snow away from the house to clear those pipes and as soon as they were clear the furance kicked in and we had heat!

Came in and asked hubby to turn on a hot shower - stripped out of my snowy cold clothes and got into a hot shower, took 2 tylenol and a very long nap!! My arms are a little achey but otherwise I feel okay.

Thank God I had WLS when I did because at almost 400 lbs there was no way my heart or body could have taken that kind of work-out or cold - the least that would have happened would have been an asthma attack - a heart attack at that time would have been more likely. And while I'll never be that Jillian work-out chick I can at least get around in the snowy weather and shovel without fear of grabbing my heart and falling over - LOL!!

So congrats to you Miss Shilpa and I'll pat myself on the back as well - we did good!!
