I'm injured

I`m sure you do a lot of stretching. Are you using really good shoes for running fitted by a specialist and replaced when showing any wear. Do you need prescription orthodics to correct a pronate or supinate problem? Runners need to strengthen the abductors / adductors..
I don`t know your age or if you`ve had kids but the hips and widening after childbirth can change the angle of the femur and change the mechanics of the knee. Hip pain?
Just some thoughts.

Thanks for your help.  I get my shoes from the Delaware Running store for Women.  I am going on the 13th for a running analysis at Charm City Running store in Baltimore.  I wear a stability shoe now.  I haven't had kids so no change in the hips that I know of.  I do not wear orthodics either.  I stretch every night for 30 minutes minimum, ice and take advil.  I am excited to start PT so I can start feeling better.

Hope you're feeling better soon - one bright side way to look at this is that maybe you'll find a new form of exercise you really love too...and your attitude is great - its only a bump and you will get past it. Best of luck getting there soon!!

Follow the docs orders and make the most of PT and you will be back into the running action in no time. I just have to say that you are an inspiration. You are so dedicated to your work out routine. I need to be more like you and the others on this board that are so serious about physical activity. I love going to the gym. I love the way it makes me feel ( and here comes the big but ) I just can't seem to make it a habit. I don't get my a$$ there hardly at all. Every time I start to go some excuse creeps in and before I know it I am back to doing nothing. I am really frustrated with myself. I even have a treadmill at home so I have NO EXCUSE. Thanks for the inspiration.

I'm really sorry, Beth.  It's miserable when you are used to exercising and enjoy it, to have to go without.  Please try to be patient with yourself.  It sounds like you are doing all you should be doing.
