***Wild Wednesday Roll Call***
Morning!
I got out of work at 12:45 am. Ok, so I was a terrible terrible girl...the charge nurse had heard about my grandmother...and she said to me "I'm furloughing ppl and based on the fact that your grandmother died and you are taking your funeral days Fri/Sat...would you like to go home? I feel bad that you have to be here just a day after that...." Now...I haven't been tragically upset...but figured why not? And said "oh, that would be great if it's possible" And out the door I went :)
Brian had just gotten home from his parents house....so we stayed up and watched some tv.
Finally got up just before ten. On the agenda today....litter box duty....I've been requested to make some cookies for Brian so I need to pick up a few things for that...and maybe a trip to Best Buy Brian wants to use some gift cards he has
Other than that...just chilling at home relaxing. If it wasn't for the errands, I probably wouldn't get out of my PJ's today....the snow is soooo pretty!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Good morning everyone - Trish, I had to laugh at your comment about being 52 and what your mom can still do to you - I feel your pain, sister - I am also 52 and usually don't hold my tongue when it comes to letting out feelings and emotions - EXCEPT when it comes to my mom - then I'm 5 again!! And she lives with me so I never get away from it. So trust me you're not alone in that one...I hope you're doing well...don't let momma get to you. And the pics of the munchkins are adorable!!
Speaking of mothers I took mine to the oncologist yesterday and he said the scans show that the cells have shrunk even with the one chemo drug, so she had a treatment yesterday and is scheduled for another one on Feb 24th. She swears she is going to Florida in March for a couple of months - we'll see how she's doing by then.
We both got pretty upset yesterday - I had given her a $100 Hair Cuttery gift card for Xmas and was taking her to get her hair cut and colored after her dr appt, so I asked if she had enough left on the card to cover it - she gave me this blank look and said 'what gift card - you never gave me a gift card' - argh. Anyway we figure she threw it out because the holidays were so crazy and then with the whole mess with my niece right after Xmas she just wasn't thinking. I guess the most upsetting thing for both of us is that none of my siblings got her a damn thing for Xmas, and the nicest gift I gave her she lost.
As for me I'm at work today -- its quiet so that's a good thing. Other than that not much else new going on with me.
Hope everyone has a great day - the roads were clear this morning and the snow was pretty hanging on to all the branches - came in to work a little later due to the snow and actually saw several deer on the way in today - very scenic.

Trish I love my Mom as long as she stays at her side of the state and I stay at my side. Glad to see you are chugging along with the unpacking. Yep it was a snow day and they delayed school for 2 hours and Linda pulled on her uggs and drove Heather to school in flannel pjs and parka and I jokingly said to her I am only taking her to school so she doesn't stay home and drive me crazy! I felt your pain about your glasses it seems like once they break you say uh oh and they are expensive especially bi-focals! Once we reach 40 it seems like we all need them. Hope everybody is doing ok. I am starting to get some pet sitting jobs here and there and can't wait to get recalled to Division of Revenue in Trenton, NJ. I hate not pulling in a paycheck so I do some pet sitting. Keeps me occupied.
