OT Need Good Thoughts

Nicole - I'm sorry to hear this terrible news.  It's really unfortunate that the mentally ill cannot get the help that they so desperately need.

That`s very sad. People can be cruel. This young man had issues that were beyond his control. May he rest in piece and may his family find some comfort. I`m not sure how anybody could ever get past losing a child.

this is very tragic and the 911 calls are so heartwrenching I can hear my BF screaming when they shoot him and then the children are screaming and crying. I just have to believe there had to be another option here for this officer and for christian

Sadly there were probably other options. We put police in harm`s way and ask them to protect the innocent and this requires heat of the moment instant decisions and all they can do is their best.
The officer will live with that decision and second guess himself everyday for the rest of his life. Sadly the officer, the family of the victim and officer and the boy are all victims of this tragedy.
Finding comfort and piece will be a daily struggle for all of them.
