Some ideas what do you think?
I got to thinking about how much weight that I have lost and all the boxes of clothing that are now upstairs pilled up even boxes upon boxes of them. Don't get me wrong I'm no wear near my goal wirhgt I'm 97 LBS away from it but I got to thinking esp after this earth quake in Haiti how luck we all are that we have clothing and the lost everything and that there are people here that have nothing as well or need clothing but can't afford it! Thus got me to think to come on here to shoot an idea to see if anyone would like to do this or even if it would be great idea too Well I really have more them one so here goes.
Idea #1 Send some of our clothing we no longer use to haiti to help the people, have local clothing swap, donate clothing to people here that need it.
Idea#2 Start obsiety awarmess even some kind of walk? I was even thinking have something WLS realated
Those are some of my ideas what do you think?

Nicki,
Some of the support groups also have clothing swaps (our Barix group does, and we've done them at Liz's as well) and there are thrifts that support charities who are always looking for donations of gently used clothing. Unfortunately, most of the clothing I had wouldn't have been appropriate for the Haitian climate, even in their winter. But hopefully a lot of people going through the need to rapidly replenish wardrobes post-surg were able to get good use from clothing and will "pay it forward" by passing their things along as well.
I believe there's also a clothing swap forum on OH, as well.
Thank you for having such a generous spirit!
