Sorry your trip was cancelled Nic..

I'll let you know how it is.  This is my next in the series of WOW's.  First time .. should be fun!!

I need to do some cleaning/purging of stuff one of these days.  It's not too bad since I purged a lot before I moved, but I'm finding that things aren't as organized as they were when I first moved in.

Well, i missed the window to say "good morning" so I'll say "HI" instead - haha.

Believe it or not, I was up and out to the gym by 8:30 this morning, pushed myself into a harder than usual workout, both in weight and intensity, combined with really pushing the pace on the stair machine.  I haven't gotten more than 30 floors in yet before the cardio reaches a point of real discomfort and I have to stop, so I have to continue working on that.  It's definitely more of a cardio workout than the treadmill - have to give it that!   But today I did 30 floors in about 7 minutes, which wasn't a bad pace for me.  Still working up to the 50 that we're going to do in March... we ARE still doing that, Pam, Lisa, anyone???  Do we have a team registered?

Anyway, got home and did some more prep for the kitchen remodel, and am now heading to the studio to do jewelry work for the rest of the day.

I have to tell you - last night we went to Ooka for su****hey were in the paper for bringing in  a very special 600-pound tuna caught in the Mediterranean this week, and they're featuring it on their menu.  OMG.  I can see why that type of tuna is so prized - literally melt in your mouth taste.   If you want to read about it here's the article:
www.phillyburbs.com/news/local/the_intelligencer/the_intelli gencer_news_details/article/2504/2010/january/28/a-big-catch -at-ooka.html

I have sirloin tips marinating for a nice stir fry tonight for dinner - have been on a ginger kick lately for some reason, so am doing a ginger-pineapple sauce with bok choy, straw mushrooms, onions, and carrots, with cellophane noodles.  I hope it turns out good!

Have a great Sunday, friends.

I don't know if we are still doing the stair thing, Karen.  I have not been training for it though.. sorry :(  Other than running up and down the stairs in my complex, I don't really know what else to do.  Honestly, I am not sure if my knees can take it.

If we are going to get a team together, though, I would be willing to try.

I had not registered a team as of yet.  I still want to do it - I just need to wait to see if work is making me go to the conference and what not

If you guys are ok with waiting on me to find out (should be in the next couple of weeks) then that's fine.....if someone else wants to register to get it done earlier, that's ok too.  Whatever works!

I'm ok with waiting - still working up to 50 stories and am nowhere near there yet, so time is GOOD!

Hey there all! I was up plenty early (and most of the night too) but am just getting online. Got up, made breakfast, took a nap with the kitties, made a batch of cookies. Now I am going to work on our taxes, do some laundry and get dinner ready. Nothing near as fancy as Karen's - we are having roast beef, mashed potatoes and green beans with chocolate pudding for dessert.

Have a good day all and stay warm!! personally I am staying in my fuzzy jammies and not going outside at all :)

One of the apocryphal stories of my childhood was the year that I told Santa what I wanted for Christmas was "Roast beef and mashed potatoes."  Obviously one of my favorite meals at the time.  My mother, of course, always turned the story into how embarassed SHE was that people would think SHE didn't feed me right.  Sigh.  And i wonder how my relationship with food got so screwed up???  haha.

lol that's cute! It just showed that you had all the things that truly mattered :)

This is my FAVORITE dinner - so I will be indulging in some mashed taters, of course it's about 2 tablespoons now before I get full lol

Good Afternoon Steffi & PA;

Started out lazy today, didn't get up till 10:30 or so, cooked breakfast, then just hung out with Gene talking.
Now I'm trying to write a paper and not in the mood to do so.  I have to keep telling myself the 22nd of Feb is right around the corner and this will be OVER :-)

Hope everyone stays warm
