Hi everyone -

My sister recently got a member ship to BJ's warehouse and I am looking for ideas of good things to get that are WLS friendly.  I did go once and picked up a few little goodies, but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of other things to get.  So far, my list consists of :

Bulk packs of chicken breast,  pork chops, ground turkey
Babybel cheese (comes in a 24 pack)
Chobani 0% - large container

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Lisa

That would have been my list. I like their hummus and they have organic free range chicken in bulk. I also like meatballs and shrimp they are high in protein and easy to make

Lisa,

I have a costco membership, but there are a lot of similarities.  I stock up on Muscle Milk Light there (a case is a lot cheaper than elsewhere - and I just tried their own brand and it's REALLY tasty and just as good nutritionally) as well as frozen individually wrapped tilapia filets, salmon, etc.  Also a great source for cheeses and meats.  Vitamin supplements are frequently cheaper there if you can find the ones you need - I get all of hubby's vitamins there, but have less luck finding the chewables and sublinguals at costco - maybe you'll be luckier.

If you like salmon (other fish), they have great fish at much more reasonable pricing points than supermarket, often I will buy salmon (as they have some already skinned), cut it up into right size portions and package for the freezer. . .  they also carry fat free feta cheese if you like it and their cold cuts are very reasonable too, if you eat that sort of thing (they carry lowfat and low sodium types). . .  Not sure if you are there yet, but the light multigran thomas' muffins (low cal, high fiber), are like getting two packages for the price of one in the supermarket, I freeze them as they are good to have on hand, but again, depends if you are doing any type of breads yet. . .

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Laureen -
I do like salmon.  In fact, thinking back I did see it at the fish counter when I was there and it looked so fresh.

I may need a seperate freezer with all of these great ideas !!
