I think you should contact your surgeon.  You shouldn't be this weak.  Please take care of yourself and feel better soon.  Post back and let us know how you're doing.

as long as you are getting your fluids in and getting in most of your proteins, you should be ok.  You had major surgery not that long ago and you may be overdoing it a bit. Your body is still recovering and having your period is just adding to the stress on your body.  I would say to just take it slow and don't overdo it.  Even if you are feeling great one minute, the next minute you may feel like you were hit by a truck.

If you are still nervous, it never hurts to call the doc for verification.

Just because you were cleared to go back to work doesn't mean you'll be able to do a full day without a nap.  You will tire much more quickly and there will be times that you fall asleep with no notice.  Just be aware of where you are and don't sleep in the wrong place.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

Gatorade should only be used if prescribed by a doctor.  For the most part everything you drink excep****er and protein shakes should be diluted.

Ahhhhh, that makes total sence to me now that you mention it here, I wish I'd known on your FB post, although I totally understand why you didn't mention it there lol! I got my monthly this week too and noticed it kicked my butt as well! I was feeling better the end of last week and come Monday (the start of my period) I felt totally drained again. I am only now starting to feel better and my cycle is ending. I was thinking iron, which I have not started as an additional supplement yet. (Outside my chewable vit's twice a day.)

I went back to work after one week off but only worked partial days and trust me, I was one tired puppy at the end of each day. I should have taken at least 2 full weeks off to give my body time to recover a little more.

I felt wonderful after my surgery - I didn't have much pain at all and didn't even feel like I had surgery, but my body knew, plus the fact that right after surgery we're basically starving our systems of nutrition because we can't give it enough in those early weeks. And yes, sadly, I got my period while I was still at Barix following my surgery and that wore me down as well.

Rest - relax - sip (lots) - walk in small increments but often. Remember, your body has been through a very traumatic experience with the surgery - you are not getting enough nutrition to keep a bird alive right now - and you need to give your body time to heal because no matter how good you may feel a lot went on in there.

Take care - hope you're feeling better soon, and trust me, you will be. Won't be long before you're able to get more proteins in and then you'll feel so much better. Hopefully you're getting vitamins in now as well? I did the liquid vitamins for 2 weeks - ICK!! is about all I can say about those - they were just plain nasty - but, it had to be done.
