I am excited and a little scared too.....
For those of you who don't know I have been thinking about returning to work after 12 years of being at home. My weight was a big factor but not the only problem. Long story that I won't go into now. I started putting in some applications and such. Well OMG I got a call this morning in reply to the Civil Service for LPN's. There is a job opening at Huntingdon State Prison. I have an interview on Feb. 9. I am so excited and anxious. It is a full time job, and I so want to go back to work, but it is a HUGE change for me, and I hope I can do it. That is if they even offer me a job. I don't know how many other people are interviewing for this position. Wow I am rambling. Sorry. Just wanted to share.
I wish you all the luck!
When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
Good luck going into this- you have the strength and ability to succeed at anything you try. Any time you doubt yourself, just look at what all you've accomplished in the past year!
Interviews are nerve-wracking, but as I told my husband, the more of them you do, the better you get - and remember that it's a 2-way interview: you are interviewing to see if this is a job you WANT just as much as they are interviewing to see if they want you.
Best of luck!
Karen
I have a bunch of friends who have worked and/or currently work in the jail nursing field. Just a word to the wise...make sure you put on your game face when dealing with the inmates - they like to try to intimidate you and LOOOOOVE to see you squirm. Don't let them get the upper hand!
