Well, I'm off to the gym in a few minutes for 60 minutes of cardio. I've been splitting my time between two different ellipticals to help work different muscles.

Mary and I are slated for a late night Planet Fitness run, as she's going out to dinner with her freind tonight.

Hope everybody has a happy, healhy day.

Morning Norm ...

Today has me at the mall for my walk this morning at 8am.  2+ miles.

I'm really looking forward to getting a strength training program going.  Hubby and I have a bow flex here and we will be working with that ... at least for the time being.   I have been doing my research into the best exercises for me, but frankly just get more confused the more I look.  I need to sit Robb down and really work on getting a routine together because now that I'm getting released from PT for my shoulder I really want to get started with my training.

I'm off to get sleeping beauty up.
Kris.

Morning Norm,

This has been keeping me on track, it's been 4 weeks since I got my butt back to the business of gyming it and I go even when I don't want to, oftentimes because I hear the voices of those who drilled it into my mind, you being one of them. . .  last night, usually not a gym night, I went and spent 35 minutes on the elliptical, which used to be my least favorite piece of equipment, I kept telling myself 5 more minutes once I got past the 20 minute mark and when I was finished it felt good, while a shorter workout than normal, I think what was important about it, was I went and this morning, I got on the scale and it has finally moved downward by 1.5 lbs.

Dedication and sweat is key to fighting the fat that wants to own my bones. . .

Tonight is Zumba. . .

Have  a great day!

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . .  It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . .  Laureen

Running late again this morning, so rushed my workout a little bit...

Did a good warmup on the elliptical, then went to the strive circuit, which I did as a "cardio strive" (quick movements, 3 reps, shorter than usual break in between), then stretching to cool down.  Still sore from my Sunday workout, though!

Also picked up the new brochure for the Panera Bread 5K Series for the spring, so am doing some planning...

Despite my nose running the entire 80 minutes I managed to finish my workout at the gym.

Great day to all.

Karen,
The 5K Panera thing has my interest. Can you tell us more about it?
