Stop me if this sounds familiar....  :)

I'm at my desk, coffee's brewing, and I'm fresh off 60 minutes of cardio at the gym.

I LOVE my new ipod that Mary got me for Christmas. I've been downloading and watching TV shows and movies on the elliptical. I was ready for a break from the stupid Today Show.

What's on your agenda today?

So I had a great workout sunday with a personal trainer (my first time doing that) and she "shook things up" (exactly what I had asked her to do).  Yesterday, I couldn't imagine going to the gym, based on my lack of mobility - haha.  But this morning I got back to the gym, still sore but feeling good!

Did the stairs and recumbent bike, then work with the medicine ball and the big yellow ball as well as planks and crunches.

I love the idea of using the ipod to watch things while on the machines - hadn't thought of that, as I've just been using it for music.  That could be a nice switch-up, too!

Have a great day!

Good Morning Norm & Pa!
I did my hour on the Elliptical and might try to do an hour of cardio at the gym tonight. Lately my energy has been low and I am stressed with things going on in my personal life so the one thing I have control over is what I put in my mouth and my excercise routine. THAT being said I will not uses excuses not to push myself harder to get those last measly 10lbs off.

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

Just did my arm workout. I'll have those Linda Hamilton arms in NO TIME! ;-)  I put my GoWear Fit back on and was pleased to see that even with my crutches I'm still burning about 2500 calories per day.  Not bad at all.  Today I see the doctor for a follow-up and to find out if I'm cleared to go back to the gym on Saturday.  I won't be up to my normal level then, of course, but some recumbent bike and maybe some yoga would be good. And of course strength-training.

By next week, you should be able to punch your way through a cinder block wall.

All part of the plan, Norm!

My exercise was a little unconventional today. I walked on the beach for about an hour while swinging a metal detector back and forth. I can really feel it in my arm and shoulder. (And no treasures were to be found today.)

It is!  It would be more fun, though, if we'd find something!  Found 32 cents this week.
